Animals have instinct for survival ONLY. It pure selfishness to do this with your pet and it should be illegal! I'm sorry he is gone and wish he wasn't but thank goodness his dog wasn't with him when he made his last jump. No genuine reason or benefit to do this to an animal.

I had a dog (a Shih Tzu Maltese cross) that loved riding in my backpack on a Honda 900 Fireblade motorbike, and insisted on flying with me in a Robinson R22 helicopter. He died of old age 19 years.
How did I know he loved both ? He would jump up at me to get in my backpack on the motorbike and run out under the helicopter as it was landing so he could jump inside as soon as a door opened. Once inside he would covet 'his spot' over the passenger floor bubble so he had the best view. Once the helicopter landed he didn't want to get out.
Yet he hated water! How did I know this ? Trying to give him a bath was a exercise in futility, he would stick his legs out and do everything he could to stay out of the bathtub, and once forced into the tub he would continuously try to get out.
Had he disliked the motorbike or helicopter, he would have hidden when they were near, and fought like bloody murder to stay out of them.
Dogs know what they like and want, and they have no problem showing it.

I just recently found out this guy died rip ... But the news didn't report if his dog was with him or not

I haven't watched this yet- but saw that this guy, the guy who's jumping is dead. He and his companion fulfilled their death wish in Yosemite. Really pisses me off that somebody would put their dog thru that.

Now he is dead and his beloved dog is all alone (or dead). Sad.

The way I see this is: animal cruelty! A man forcing a poor puppy on a flight to gain fame.
