The only problem I have with goldbacks is based on the gold content you’re paying a 2x premium over spot. Bullion is best but not affordable for most. Anything is better than greenbacks.

Or, and this just off the top of my head, they picked the goldback because it’s worth $6 and the 10 goldback is worth $60. Goldbacks are a niche collector’s item.

If they were worried about the value they'd go with much heavier fractionals, bars and coins. 1oz pieces of pure gold, not this super high premium plastic with .001oz of gold in them. Go ahead and buy some, try to sell them back in a year, find out for yourself that 80% if not more of your initial purchase is GONE. Buy weight, not trash.

These are a scam in lower amounts like the 1/100for sure. Its basically like putting edible gold on ur burger or steak and them up charging the hell out of the customer because "gold" was on it. But the 1/10s have good gold that is retrievable, but they are 1k each, so 1 ounce from those is 10k for 10 100 goldbacks. Pure scaming you with the premium either way. Your dollars can get you ALOT more gold.

Now if its being given away for free... sure, anyone not an idiot will take it and resell it to an idiot.

Looks like a lot of informed people shop at gun stores. If you had offered equal value gold backs and cash, I would have gone cash. In this case, the goldbacks are worth almost 7 times more than the cash, it's a no brainer to take the goldbacks! A better test would have been 7$ vs 1 goldback.
