Just come across your channel via mark @ start making (woodwork) looking forward to watching your vids
ОтветитьGreat tutorial. My saw's table isnt true across the rotating portion and the two fixed sides. It appears that the rotating part is a tad up on the left side. I couldnt find any adjustments for it so I settled on putting 2 layers of duct tape on the left fixed side.
ОтветитьThank you for sharing the calibration with us. I believe Our World is a Shared Experience ... I am thinking to get one like this for a while. I got their RAGE -5 Table Saw and the FURY 6 Combo but it get a bit awkward to cut as you can do with this. Anyways, I am waiting to get my workshop (AKA Shed) done as the present one is kinda small for me especially with my wheelchair. These are handy to cut things so easily and safely, so you got the idea.
Anyways, Remember Life is Short so Live Long and Prosper 🖖 Look after yourself and each other & Stay Safe. Cheers!!!
Thanks, good tutorial..... BUT!!!!!!.... That was a Torx not a Hex 🙃
ОтветитьExcellent video and tutorial 👍👍👍👍 turns out my saw was way out of square etc🤦♂️🤦♂️
Thank you so much for this 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
I have this exact saw and haven’t used it for a while, when I did make a cut I thought it was ok but on checking the wood with a square it was way off. But Ive forgotten how to calibrate it. I believe I must of bumped it somehow and knocked the calibration out.
This video refreshed my memory on how to calibrate, thank you it was a great help.
Good Video mate
ОтветитьThank you again for sharing the adjustment process as it is priceless. I got a question about these Mitre Saw. When shopping online, I keep seeing R255SMS DB+ and R255SMS DB-… can you tell me the difference between those two numbers, please? Thank you in Advance…
ОтветитьThe 90 degree is a cunt to align
ОтветитьI recently bought this saw, calibrated as per video (very helpful indeed as mine required a fair bit of adjustment) but noticed that there is a small play at 0 degree positive stop before tightening the orange knob, what do I do?
ОтветитьBrilliant Video. Told me everything I needed to know regarding calibrating my saw. Excellent, and thank you very much.
ОтветитьFantastic mine was way out 😂of
ОтветитьNice video. Aren't the two sides of the fence a solid cast piece of metal though? When i run a straight edge across mine i can see it's slightly V shaped and i assumed that wouldn't be adjustable as i thought it was a single piece.
ОтветитьExcellent tutorial. I have the evolution r210 which was slightly different to this one but all the principles remained the same. Top work and thank you
ОтветитьBrilliant video! Thanks!
Ответитьgreat video! Unfortunately it's missing the part about calibrating the "horizontal" pivoting of the saw, don't know if I'm making myself clear (the one you unlock via the orange knob and the orange lever that are close to your body when you cut).
Perhaps you could add that part? Thanks a lot :)
Thanks. Very helpful. Just got my evolution, all good, but confident if things do go peetong😂😊 great bit of kit. 🎉👏😎
ОтветитьLifesaver! Just got the 255, the destruction manual was as expected. Your walk through was just what I needed. Cheers👍👏
ОтветитьAbsolutely incredible video for a newbie like me who just bought my R255SMS-DB. I'm in Canada. I'm curious, you are referring to using a 'hex key' to make some adjustments. Yet in North America they call what I saw in the images Torx or Star. To us, a hex key is aka allen, and we also refer to it as a hex key. ie, the tool that comes with the machine for most adjustments we refer to as an allen key or hex key. Is it different in the UK my friend?
ОтветитьMine did not come well calibrated, and so your demonstration of the gap was useful.
ОтветитьThank you for the tutorial!
It was very helpful for me! It saved me a lot of time!
Thank you for the video. The only thing I noticed is that after cutting at 45 degrees, the blades don't return to zero degrees when I move them back. Instead, they bevel slightly to the other side. Do you know why?
ОтветитьThank you so much!!
ОтветитьJust bought the R255 SMS-DB and this was a great quick video that saved me from squinting at the little user manual pictures. Cheers!
ОтветитьAgain, excellent video, would be handy if you can link the various tools you use please :)
ОтветитьSo helpful 👍🏻😊
ОтветитьI was calibrating my saw ( exact same model with the same stand ) and the right rear grub screw for blade adjustment made no difference?? Left side put it out even more....
I bought the Evolution digital angle finder and have a Trend digital angle finder and I can not get the blade 90º .......I'm not sure if it's a faulty unit ( only received it the other day and set it up today ) ...getting very frustrated 😠 ..
Any tips?? Thanks
Good videos BTW
Are you anywhere near Reading RG4 I've had a breakdown 😢 🤯 honestly I do a lot of mechanical work and fix everyone's broken stuff...rip engines apart but this thing is soooo far out and the rear grub screws and angle screws for bevel cuts do NOT move the blade ½mm ....nothing...Nada ...🤯 and it's Easter weekend....any help please 🙏
ОтветитьI'm a complete novice to any kind of woodworking and I am starting an outdoor kitchen build so bought this mitre saw. I am only going to use it for this project so didn't want t spend a lot of money. Your video on set up and calibration has been a big help as my saw was not very accurate out of the box. Thanks for the video
ОтветитьThank you.
ОтветитьThanks - both assembly and calibration instructions are awful and you've made it easy. Pity it doesn't go a bit beyond 45° each side which is very helpful if mitres aren't quite at square.
ОтветитьYou are British. Liberate yourself from the need to say "go ahead" before doing something.
ОтветитьThanks
ОтветитьGreat vid. Mine is definitely off on some of these so will be going through your list to make the adjustments. One thing i'd add though is that the fence is one piece and apparently can bend fairly easily so I loosen all 4 screws along it and then slightly tightly one of the end ones to give it just enough friction to pivot off while adjusting the overall angle.
