Movie has a horrible ending, main character made way too many bad choices. Really poor writing.
ОтветитьThis is a pretty bad explanation to be honest. You missed several important details like when downy says its 1130, but her watch matches the clock on the ship saying 817 which never changes, or how the jess in the mirror shows one of her alternate paths on the opposite side of the ship, or the part when they first walk into the hallway, and turn right, but the camera goes left and runs into a separate version of the group. After watching the movie twice in a row, I think the movie actually switches to following different versions of jess several times. Sometimes its misleading because sometimes she pretending to not know whats happening in front of the group, or memories of previous loops fade over time like a dream so she forgets things to varying degrees, other times she is straight up in denial that it wasnt a dream, and sometimes she is actually trying alternate strategies or reacts differently to unique interactions between loops. I dont have time to watch this movie 2 or 3 more times myself, but theoretically you should be able to identify How many loops are shown in the movie, which loop stage she is in at each part of the movie, and maybe even the solution to how the loop begins and ends, how many times she changes the scenario in the loop before restarting the cycle at loop 0 or 1, and maybe how to actually break the cycle and escape. I want to say there are at least 3 of her on the ship at a time, and around 5 alternate loop scenarios and she actually solves the puzzle and escapes in some of them off screen, you just only see the endings where she fails. Also, that wasnt "Our jess" dead after the accident. Thats the body of the one she killed with the hammer and shoved into the bag. You can see the open trunk and the bag torn open with all the clothes flung out. The one wearing the jacket that got in the cab was the driver and she survived the accident.
ОтветитьMan, I remember watching this movie with my mom, lmao and being so confused
ОтветитьLast shift
Ответить@FoundFlix Hey!!! First of all, love your work/content!! Huge fan! As you can probably tell, I’ve been subscribed for a bit. 🤓
Anyway, something that while not earth shattering, but I still noticed when I first saw this video a while back, was the definition for the mythological character of Aeolus. Now Greek mythology is very complex and interwoven, very prone to regional interpretation so perhaps this is the explanation for this discrepancy, but the punishment you ascribed to Aeolus, I had always heard/read it as originally being the punishment for Sisyphus. And Aeolus was Sisyphus’s father. Sisyphus was punished in this manner, for having previously cheated death twice.
Honestly, I’m no scholar, or even what some might call an individual of average intelligence, but I do recall these and a lot of other myths, as one of my history teachers was Greek, and could actually trace his lineage back quite a bit to actual antiquity historians, so I tended to accept his version of myths a bit more over others. Just chiming in. My apologies if In doing so I may have offended, this is not my intention. I just wanted to point out something that I found interesting. Thanks for all the work you do! Take care!
I Believe that it also shows that how a trauma from a childhood always stays in loop and to make the parent feel the same way its happening to her ( I'm bad at explaining)
Ответитьafter many decade now i know the movie has good ending. the end of the film is at the beginning of the film where Jes kisses her son, that's where the loop stops. lesson from this film, never give up the struggle. repeat if failed. and be a good parent.
ОтветитьShe keeps doing it to save her son...yet when she has her son in the car, she keeps continuing to look behind her and hits the lorry...everytime. A) dont traumatise your son by killing her in front of him and B) watch the f*****g road 😂
ОтветитьElectrical storm? Lmao.
ОтветитьThis movie is bascially Seagulls Revenge
ОтветитьEveryone watch Peng Yang’s explanation of the movie. Really good insight and explanation rather than just giving a simple summary
ОтветитьTry watching Peng Yang’s video of the explanation of the movie. Really good insight
Ответитьdude you didn't explain anything. You just summarized and described the events of the movie for the first 20 minutes
ОтветитьSo when masked jess is running after the real jess, when she is hiding in the room with knife, wouldnt the masked jess know that she is hiding there in the first place??? why did the masked jess just ignore and went out??/ i guess thats a plot hole??? or am i wrong?? please explain???
ОтветитьI thought the dude with the rock that kept rolling down the hill was Sisofys?
ОтветитьThe movie could use a sequel, explaining part of the loop where scar faced jess came from and the part where killer jess is beaten off the ship , which i think is the original end, ending the loop by jess's death .
ОтветитьHaven't tuned in to your channel in a while but found this video after checking for Triangle reactions. Good work, although I think it's Sisyphus who has to roll the rock up the hill. This film's time loop is an awful lot like the one in the Star Trek episode "Cause and Effect."
ОтветитьI don't think it's a time loop at all. She has already died (possibly from suicide after killing her son) and It's purgatory and eternal punishment for what she has done.
ОтветитьAwful movie. Moral of the story: your autistic child will drive you to the point of being a murderer who never forgives themselves. Just awful awful awful movie.
ОтветитьYou can't change the fate but you can definitely change the pattern, though she was into changing fate meaning she was trying to alter her past to save her son selfishly although she could definitely change the pattern of loop and accept her fate by facing the truth and move on 😮❤😊
ОтветитьI figured she was in some sort of hell 🤷♀️ but its her own, where shes the bad guy. The only way to fix it is kill the original. Like why would she get rid of her friends but not herself. The scene where she almost does it made me realize it.
ОтветитьWhat a bullshit. Complete nonsense there are better movies related to loop and all but this movie is really the worst i regret watching this stupid movie. I need my fucking 1hr50min back
ОтветитьWatched and it makes no sense, she does it all over again knowingly but some how forgets all about it
She continues to do everything wrong knowing how everything plays out, never once tried to stop herself and explain it all and for whatever reason she comes up with the decision to kill everyone without knowing if that actually stops the loop even tho she never once went after the middle Jess which also begs the question wtf was middle Jess doing all the time
The boat never had any sort of reset mechanic or at least a very selective mechanic cause the fruit resets but not the piles of dead bodies or the message cause there should plenty of blood and no guns. Which brings a lot of questions to why
If we go the time travel 5/10 but if you say she dies and the taxi is death and makes her forget all the events until she accepts it all which if that’s the case I guess could be better of a movie but everything else really hurts the movie regardless 6/10
Just saw this today. Never heard of it before.
ОтветитьJess performance 🎭 deserves awards
ОтветитьEvery time you watch it looks like first time watching
ОтветитьIs she in purgatory?
ОтветитьI think the time loop has started at the time Jess had car crash and the reason I think this is not only because the cab driver is obviously Charon as many things point to this (him being a driver, taking her to harbor so she can get on a boat, etc), but also because no one seems to acknowledge Jess at the car crash site. No one questions why there's two identical person there and how she doesn't have a scratch on her despite being in deadly car crash.
She is either in some sort of personal hell because she was abusive towards her son in the past, or she is stuck in time loop because she's unable to accept both her and her son died due to her fault. If we take into consideration that movie very clearly references Greek mythology, you gotta think that Greeks had no concept of Hell, and Sisyphus is basically the idea of self-torture (doing immense task only to be looped back to beginning). Another hint of Sisyphus is that he was known to be a tyrant and abuse his people and kill his guests and Jess has technically cheated death much like Sisyphus, because she doesn't actually die in loop, she is thrown overboard.
This movie is giving in the tall grass
ОтветитьI regret watching this movie. What a easte of time.
ОтветитьAeolus wasn't the guy rolling the rock uphill, that was his son Sysiphus
Ответить3 of herself on board, the 2 are fighting to death now its only two of them. Now to break the loop is to prevent her otherself and his companions to go onboard the ship so she will take again the shotgun and kill otherself, now only herself remaining then proceed to warning them by firing a shotgun to not go on board if that successful then she must have a strong will to kill herself or maybe wait. If that event happens she will prevent surviving and prevent killing her otherself and her son.
ОтветитьI think a bit of amnesia or supress memory had a role because in the beginning Jess acted the same way she did at the end and if she remembered how everything turned out on the Aeolus she could have just simply kill her friends once they were on the Aeolus and then herself saving herself most of the events of the movie. Memory loss and suppress memories would explain the dreams and Deja vu Deja vu is triggered by memories you may have forgotten and dreams normally associated with memories.
ОтветитьSo the plot twist is ....the plot twist?
ОтветитьDude, I adore you but why are you ALWAYS yelling? You're one of those guys that tries to talk dirty and your wife shushes you.
ОтветитьI feel bad for Jess and having to raise that boy all alone. I think she is too hard on herself.
ОтветитьNot sure if the writers drew inspiration from the Twilight Zone because there is an episode of the Twilight Zone where the dead people refuse to admit they're dead and give up so they keep going for eternity refusing to let go
ОтветитьJess knows exactly what's going to happen and still acts completely oblivious throughout the whole thing. But let's say she somehow has amnesia while on the trip. You then have two different Jess killing Victor the exact same way, which is nonsense. Since we know the ship doesn't reset itself she also each time would have had not only to get rid of bodies in the rooms of interest, but also scrub the whole ship clean, put the items in their own place, recook the whole meal in the ball room and somehow repair the damage done to the ship.
This movie has more holes than a sinking ship, those are just the few I could recall from the top of my head
She could have fixed the situation if she exposed herself to the second group as they boarded the ship and gave them the whole spill on what’s going on.
ОтветитьNICE TRY ITACHI
Ответитьwhy didnt she take her mask off, talk to jess 1 and find together a solution, like not letting them get on the boat or not killing any of them
Ответитьahewehwoho
ОтветитьSo who is bad jess and how did she get on the ship?
ОтветитьI wonder how many times ive watched this ending explained 🤔
Ответитьthere's a predestination paradox of the drop keys in the first iteration of the loop. it is impossible to exist.
ОтветитьTriangle was terrible, waste of time.
