I don't care how her personal life was handled, I'm thankful she hung in there when things were hard and challenging for people of color and she succeeded. Thank you Ms. CARROLL for proving all women matter.

For many black Americans even back in the day when it was difficult being “black in Hollywood“ being with a white person was seen as making it. No other race tends to do that in big numbers like most blacks. Look around today, you’d be hard pressed to find a black male, who’s a so-called movie or sports celebrity, with a black woman.
I guess to some extent I understood generations like Pottier, who dissed Dorothy Dandridge because he said that she couldn’t do anything for his career. I guess it was called a smart career move then, but we’re not in the same America today, still…
I’m biracial, so I Have no problem with black man with white women or vice versa, I just find it sad that as a ‘race’ decades later, not much has changed. Anyway, that’s my 2 cents, so bring on the attacks.
