America should give every person on Greenland $5 million to join America. That would still be less money than Trump wanted to spend to buy it.
ОтветитьI think some sort of aliens hiding inside the Greenland...
ОтветитьIt’s the polar days and nights, most of the country sits inside the arctic circle so they’re very long with only shorts periods of regular days. People that live on the danish mainland would rather live there than go to Greenland and have the sun in the sky or absent for months. There’s no draw.
ОтветитьDisko Bay doesn't advertise. . .
ОтветитьTrump should buy Greenland and turn it into a huge penal and garbage management colony.
ОтветитьLost me when you said the Seas would rise by 25 feet if Greenlands ice melted. Wake up!
ОтветитьI SEE YOU GOT RID OF YOUR SISSY HAIR BUN
ОтветитьGlad there are still some places left on the planet not packed full of people.
ОтветитьSyble Ramp

Ответитьideal for training colonisation of mars, a big brother for scientists only.......
ОтветитьFrom now on I’ll won’t repeatedly call people “ghee-off”, so thanks for that.
ОтветитьMy theory on why "Greenland" and "Iceland" have the names that they do.
First, the Vikings would have been approaching Iceland from the southeast, so the southeast corner of the island is first thing they would've seen. Well, the southeast of Iceland is covered by the Vatnajökull glacier, which sits atop a large shield volcano, making it the first thing visible from far away. First thing they see is the ice, therefore, they name it "Iceland."
Now, as for Greenland, I think the Vikings were talking about someplace else that they named "Greenland" — the Labrador coastline, which isn't far from the western coast of Greenland and would've been arctic forest back at that time. And we know, from old sagas, that the Vikings did originally try to settle on the Labrador coast [to say nothing of Vinland], but were driven off by the indigenous people. They then withdrew to what we now call Greenland … and brought the name of their attempted settlement on Labrador. So, "Greenland" was more the name of an area that got transferred over to another place.
Actually, it’s not correct that the golf stream bypasses Greenland. An arm of the golf stream comes up through the Davis Strait off of Greenland’s southwestern coastline from Kap Farvel in the South to just north of the second largest town of Sisimiut, situated by the Arctic Circle.
The area from Sisimiut, passing Nuuk, the capital to Paamiut south of Nuuk, our ocean waters don’t freeze at all in winter. Thus shipping is possible year round. This is also where the bulk of the population now lives. About 1/3 of the entire population of Greenland (now 20,000) lives right here in Nuuk. The most southern region of the country where the sheep farms are often experience problems during summer with ice from the east coast clogging up the water ways.
Actually the cultures Independence I and II are considered even older than the Saqqaq culture. They only stayed in the most northern regions of Greenland having come across from Canada. Human hair has been found in the northern region which DNA and carbon dating tested to be from a man about 4000 years ago who’s ancestors came all the way from the Aleutian Islands by Alaska. The study was possible due to the very dry and very cold climate that preserved the hair.
ОтветитьPeople have not found out about all the gold and platinum under the ice yet!! Just wait and the miners will come!!!
ОтветитьEskimo is derogatory
ОтветитьYou lost me after you used "feet" for measurement for an educational video
ОтветитьThe far south of Greenland around Qoqortoq actually is very green except in winter. You could live there, raise your flock of sheep and not be constantly aware of the ice sheet. It's cold there but not bitter.
ОтветитьI’d rather live in Iceland than Greenland
ОтветитьNo one lives there because it’s too cold and there’s polar bears enough said.
ОтветитьLet it all melt!! We don't need Greenland!!
ОтветитьNot Greenland? At 1 minute and 38 seconds into this video there is a town that I am pretty sure is not in Greenland. Bad start to your video. Too many trees in this picture. You should actually go there sometime and see for yourself before making a video about it.
Ответитьlet me guess: ice?
ОтветитьNo entiendo para qué vivir en esta tierra congelada. Siempre fría, quizá un poco de sol de mayo a julio pero ni calienta. No vale la pena tanto sacrificio para la gente y poca con tanto aislamiento y frío.
Ответитьalso just leave greenland to the inuit people jfc
ОтветитьThe vikings is a mere footnote in our history!!
Ответитьwhy use Texas as an example of land comparison .... the world doesn't revolve around the usa.//./////
ОтветитьThule people were not the ancestors of Inuits in Greenland they are not related, according to Inuit folklore the Thule people were afraid of them, anyway Thule people were never seen again after the Inuits arrived in Greenland 7-800 years ago, the Vikings arrived 2-300 years before the Inuits
ОтветитьThem ears get me everytime
ОтветитьThuul culture..?
>.> auspicious name for northerners
After Hans Egede came to Greenland in 1721. Other of Hans Egede's compatriots (Norwegians and Danes) came to Southwest Greenland. Where they brought the smallpox disease with them. There were over 10,000 Inuit in Southwest Greenland at the time. The Inuit were almost exterminated by the disease. In Southwest Greenland, there were less than 2,000 survivors of the disease. The rest of the Inuit. Over 8,000 died following the smallpox disease. And we don't have numbers on how many Inuits in North Greenland died of disease. Out of the approximately 2,000 Inuit, there are today a total of 50,000 Inuit of 56.000 Greenland citizens and around 20,000 Inuit live in Denmark and in other countries. This means that there could have been 5 times more Inuit in Greenland. Around 200,000 to 250,000 Inuit.
ОтветитьWhy do I feel most of the comments come from AI? That usually means there is something someone is preparing. Another secret to uncover? Didnt Bezos make a short business trip there last year? Maybe it was Iceland. Why?
Ответитьvikings just love to troll me
ОтветитьThe least densely populated region in the world is easily Antarctica... Greenland is the least densely populated country.

ОтветитьWhen you first arrive in Greenland, you are very impressed by the extreme beauty of nature and the colorful buildings and their unique lifestyle. But after living there a few months, you become depressed by the extreme boredom and isolation and silence. You get the impression the natives rely on tourists for mot only money, but also a much needed change in their boring lives.
Ответить✨ After 10,000 years of climate change, the countries will live up to their names
ОтветитьThumbs down for the "climate change" nonsense. Booooo.
ОтветитьThanks!
ОтветитьWhy is it empty?
Gee, might have something to do with that ice cover.
And of course, the mention of fake CC doesn't do anything for your credibility.
