Hi Demi, should highlight to users that the youtrip and etc allow customers to lock in fx rate where trust does not. So if user want lock in favorable fx then youtrip is preferred choice.

Do some ATMs overseas have a charge when you use them to withdraw local currency? does that mean it's still cheaper to change money in SG before travelling?

Hi, I have some questions. Do I need to deposit money into the savings account before I can withdraw it overseas or the withdrawal amount will automatically charge to my next credit card bill? And do I need to carry 2 cards around or just trust link card is enough which has cashback and linkpoints altogether?

Hi miss. What about GXS? I opened account with them recently and i think they also don't have fx fees. I like that the interest is also higher and easier to attain than trust. Idk but i think Trust also increased the minimum amount need to spend for 5 minimum transactions to gain additional interest.

I went to JB to shop. In Mr. DIY outlet, I paid using Trust and my wife queuing behind me used YouTrip. We compared the exchange rate right away and confirmed YouTrip has a better rate. To further ascertain this, I linked my Paypal account to both my Trust card and YouTrip card. I set my Paypal account to USD as my primary currency ie I will pay in USD to merchant and Paypal will charge my card using the prevailing exchange rate that the card charges. Thereafter, I spent 2 x USD 100 transactions, one using Trust and the other using YouTrip. Both transactions were successful. I checked the rate for comparison and YouTrip still has a better rate than Trust. For CS however, you are right about Trust being better than YouTrip because there is a chat support in Trust. I tried to top up my Trust balance and somehow it doesn't get through. I chatted CS and must admit that though it is equally frustrating, the problem is resolved on that very session. For YouTrip, I would have to send an email and wait for a response in my gmail to continue. That could easily take a few days to resolve a simple problem.

Trust card will not work well in China. Cashless payment in China is via WeChat or Alipay and Trust card cannot work with Alipay in China.

Personally been using Trust card at Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau and Zhuhai for last couple of months. Link up to my Google pay as well. No issues, exchange rates one of the best, perhaps there are better rates elsewhere but I am happy with it. Customer service can help u promptly if any issues.

This card is sadly, filled with dishonest promise if you are using it for foreign currency spending. Im not even talking about how the 15% cashback advertisement for this card that comes with T&C. The worst part is that if you had a chosen category, you will NOT earn even 1.5% cashback if you fail to spend the minimum requirement for the quarter. Meaning if you are using this card only for Travelling in one month, you wont be able to hit the quarterly spending and you are not eligible for the 1.5% cashback too. I have already confirmed this through the Live chat in Trust app after making $2k without any cashback.

I used them all and confirm that trust card gives the worst rate overseas, possibly given that it's the only credit card. youtrip gives the best rate followed by wise, then revolt and lastly youtrip. trust is still better than using bank credit card but ultimately, its still a credit card and the bank is not going to give us a better rate when those prepaid credit card can use those "deposit" and earn interest. But I agree trust card in Singapore is really good!

All card are used on the same day in my comparison.

Great video and I sign up for Trust cards after watching your video. But I would like to highlight a benefit from YouTrip so that others can be reminded. For 10 currencies, you can purchase when the exchange rate is good and keep in your wallet. This is a great feature when you have plans to travel to that specific country.

Am a retiree and I have both youtrip and trust link debit card. I use trust for atm withdrawal overseas since there is no fee and I know I always have funds in my trust bank account, I do keep the card locked. For overseas expenses I would use youtrip where I top up what I need daily to minimise exposure since my card is unlock when I have travelling. Just found out last week that trust bank doesn’t support inwards and outwards transfer in foreign currency. I am curious if this applies to the other digital bank like gxs.

I dont like trust as their exchange rate isnt spot on and varies quite abit from different currency. For example, in Aus and JP, trust is noticeable worst than both revolut and youtrip. What i found best is that their customer service as i had a "fraudulent" transaction on my card and was connected to their live call almost immediately. One suggestion that worked well for me is to use a 2 card strategy, one for ATM withdrawal and one for contactless payment. Use Youtrip (better rates) for ATM withdrawal and immediately block the card, to mitigate ATM Skimmer. Use TRUST credit card for contactless payment and make use of their cashback to make up for their poorer exchange
