What kind of Saber is that??
ОтветитьDo more solo fighting videos
ОтветитьMy wall says I need more room.
ОтветитьI was trained in your jedi arts by Matt Easton.
[start to make weird movements with the sword]
How the hell do you do those wrist cut things with the sword whenever I do it I can’t move my wrist on the other side and it stops the motion
ОтветитьHow did you get away with wielding a sword on a public recreation ground?
ОтветитьBeen mucking around with a sabre for a bit ... mostly a longsworder here and a newb at that. Matt or others, silly question. How do you do a wrist cut with the thumb up grip? My thumb keeps getting in the way of the rotation!
ОтветитьI found it particularly difficult to follow without context...
ОтветитьThank you
ОтветитьWhy does your shirt look so wet in this video? Usually their super dry.
ОтветитьIn the morning, i do number one, then number two.
ОтветитьAre those particular guards associated with recovering after those attacks? Because it would involve less motion to, say, go into carte after the number 3 cut or tierce after the number 4 cut, less wrist swiveling. However, I was wondering if those guards are matched to protect against the openings that each particular cut would expose.
ОтветитьGreat video as always. By the way I believe that Indian Club Swinging will also help.
ОтветитьHi, I know, old video. But we just started with the Military Sabre and we just wondered from which source are the Prime guard and the swordarm protect motion.
Thank you
My great grandfather's sabre is very similar to the one you're using here. It has a right-handed guard but I'm left handed. How would you advise me to practice with it, left or right?
ОтветитьThese videos were briliant! I hope you will continue to make solodrillvideos in the future :)
ОтветитьAre these cutting drills still acceptable for a cavalry style sabre?
ОтветитьVery nice video
ОтветитьHow many outtakes did you get where you accidentally hit the camera?
Ответитьappropriate weight for one-handed sword
ОтветитьInteresting, which saber model are you using?
ОтветитьI normal finish my enemies with the combo of slash with thr shoulder slash with the wrist and a food ole poke
Ответитьhuszárosba
Ответитьsuper nice drill !!
ОтветитьOk, maybe I am an idiot (I defiantly am an American) after that cut 3 is it Tierce? and after cut 4 Quart? to me it sounds like "Terse" and "Cart" maybe that is because of the accent, or because I have no clue were he is getting these guards from.
Ответитьto stop muscular imbalances, would it be valuable to train both arms in the wiggle and strength exercises but keep point work and specific training to the dominant hand?
ОтветитьWhich saber is this? I really like the hilt
ОтветитьThank you Matt, I haven't touched a saber for practice in many months, and I had forgotten nearly every practice drill and play
ОтветитьI’m not even doing it right and my arm it tired
ОтветитьAs someone who lives quite a distance from a physical HEMA Sabre club these videos are great for those of us who want to learn Sabre! Thank you.
ОтветитьFun drill! How well do you think this translates to shamshir?
ОтветитьTy TY!
ОтветитьWhere do I get a sabre?
ОтветитьTo practice both hands with a saber do I need a left handed saber? Because the hilt is not Symmetrical? Matt! I’ve been a faithful follower for years!!! Long before your move much respect I’m in my front yard now practicing with you on the TV teaching me!!!
Ответитьgood one
ОтветитьMaraming salamat, Guro. Thanks for sharing.
ОтветитьAwesome!
ОтветитьI'm surprised there wasn't an insult thrown at people for getting him to do this in the cold.
ОтветитьWith all due respect, British people have a rather vague idea of what freezing cold is. Thank you for the video!
ОтветитьHello, who made that saber? Thanks, I'm trying to find good makers.
ОтветитьI have a CSA sabre and just tried your exercises . New light shade needed now 🤦♂️😆😂
ОтветитьWhat a spectacular work-out! Thank you for sharing this drill. I always wondered how the cavalry officers used their sabers. My grandfather was in the cavalry (WWI) but as a Sergeant, he did not have a saber. Actually, by that time, they were mainly for show. One should be in good shape before beginning this type of exercise or risk injury from overuse.
ОтветитьThank you scholagladiatoria i found these really useful in my self training using solo exercises so that i can eventually start some historical fencing
Thanks to you and everyone else from hema who makes these videos
What saber is that matt?
ОтветитьTried these with an 1885 cavalry sabre as that’s all I had access to, you do that for 20 minutes and you soon feel the burn 😂
Ответитьabsolutely amazing thank you so much
ОтветитьThat last triangle motion got my head messed up lol XD
since i always start with Hanging guard outside to maulinet cut 1 to inside guard to cut 2 and end with Hanging guard outside again to repeat
How many reps as part of daily practice?
Ответить
