When he says you can have a preference as long as you aren’t confined by it really makes a lot of sense. I’m the opposite and I’m extroverted around people, but being calm and vulnerable in person at least, and just being alone is a really hard thing for me to do… i need to learn how to not use other people’s validation for fuel

I don't think he understands introverts. We don't like attention, small talk or new people and he's doing too much. This was cringe. Making an introvert try to be an extrovert is not allowing us to be ourselves.

Living in Sweden as a expat, it is Very rare for me to meet a Swede who isn’t an introvert. When there is an extroverted Swede at a party full of introverts, I feel resentment from the introverts. It’s a cultural thing in Sweden to be introverted. Nothing wrong with it but meeting an extroverted Swede is refreshing

tbh the world just moves too fast for introverts that's why they are always exhausted. Also confidence isn't the problem... its either lack of skills from lack of practice or exhaustion mostly from lack of understanding.

Introversion is NOT a flaw! It is NOT the same as shyness! In other words, to be inhibited and shy is NOT the same as being introverted! Many introverts are also shy, but many are not. Those who accept their introversion as a strength and are not shy are very comfortable with themselves!

This video triggered me like HELL and I had to pause the video 10times to process it and get through my flood of tears. I certainly wasn’t born this way but this started around teenage years where I felt like a loser! I am in my late 40’s and it’s affected my entire life 😢. I have absolutely no idea where or how it all began and have no idea how to stop it!! I am 💯% her. My mind goes blank in front of people or when I am asked to speak. I have a strong feeling she might have adult add, never diagnosed as a kid, made to feel stupid all her life and now is a mental wreak due to it.

This guy seems problematic. This was so uncomfortable to watch. Just because this guy is confident doesn't mean he is at all correct in what he is doing. People accept nonsense as fact if it is said by someone with unshakeable confidence, especially if they have little confidence in themselves.

I just clicked on this about a minute ago. I just wanted to make it very clear: introversion and shyness are NOT synonymous, ok. It has to do with energy displacement and distribution. Example: I'm an introvert. I am not shy. The company of others, even enjoyable company, will eventually drain me of social energy until I need me time. An Extrovert loves the company of others. You'll usually find them as "the life of the party". Dancing, putting on a show, etc. There's way more to it than that, but I'm just sharing a small example.

Just wanted to add lastly: both introverts and extroverts can be shy as well as both can be confident

There are things I really liked and some things I didn't like about the counciling he gave her. I wish he could have refrained from suggesting the word sexy and wish he would have gave her like one hug rather than four hugs. She is a beautiful lady and has probably heard words like sexy so many times that it was familiar and comfortable. But if the point was to find out what she honestly wanted to project to others, his perception of hot somewhat got in the way of helping her. He has great advice but this could have gone even better had he kept his own feelings out of it

He reminds me of an articulate version of the "bully" from the movie breakfast club. He's just trying to help people open up and be their authentic self.
