ОтветитьOh, I get it. Still pointless..... Still cool
Ответитьwhat an extreme waste of time
ОтветитьSchön!
ОтветитьPity Health and Safety wouldn't allow this type of combustible art in colleges. Could be fun!
ОтветитьI would work a fire eater in there somewhere.

ОтветитьAll time classic. Great stuff.
ОтветитьWatch the whole length movie in Lyon at "L'art et la machine" exhibition in Musée des Confluences. And for the same price some pieces of 2001 and Forbidden Planet !

ОтветитьSo this is where Honda got their inspiration for "the cog" commercial. Amazing.

ОтветитьI might be late, but I have the disc for this!
ОтветитьIt's clever and enjoyable. Therefore, it is not "pointless."
ОтветитьDid you noticed that they used the fire shots for making transitions?
ОтветитьMalgré le temps passé, la magie opère toujours !

ОтветитьI’m here for class
ОтветитьMakes me think of the movie Leagle Eagle with Robert Redford Darryl Hannah .
ОтветитьMy grandpa has the whole thing on video tape and as kids my brother and I used to just watch it over and over again. Honestly a great watch for kids. It’s totally mesmerizing.
ОтветитьI prefer The Cog
ОтветитьI used to show this to my 5th grade art students ever year as they did a unit on Rube Goldberg. It never ever failed to make them shout out what they thought was going to happen next! Great memories.
ОтветитьA film made in the 80s with 60s-era film technology is like retro-ception at this point.
ОтветитьCool yet predictable...nothing random about it. It could be rebuilt and redone again and again with the same results.
Ответитьthis doesn't sound like her
ОтветитьFound my way back to Brooklyn, let me know if you want you want to hear the whole Layford Cay story
ОтветитьI was fortunate to visit a F&W retrospective at the Tate in London where this was on display. I bought the DVD for the entire thing, I think what was on display was a subset of the whole thing but yes it is all real! Fantastic work and resonates even better as time goes on and humans are losing touch with what is real and what is not and “the way things go”
ОтветитьNot very imaginative. A bit of over use of the fire thing.
ОтветитьNever gets old
ОтветитьA truly wonderful film that incorporates a rich variety of chain reactions in creative arrangements. The only thing that's missing is seeing the human/intelligent triggering at the very beginning. We only see the sparking fuse, not the cause of the sparking fuse, but maybe that's an intentional nod to the "hidden hand" behind it all?
ОтветитьGoogle “the way things go”. The ad is an homage to that short film.
