It’s probably the same guy who’s scammed her each time. He knew what to say and how to get the money quickly. He knew he could treat her badly and she’d put up with it.

She needs to stay offline, or her family needs to put her under a conservatorship to manage her money or she won’t have any left. She’s very naive and not very smart when it comes to dealing with people.

This was an oldie and I'm late to the ballgame here; however, I thought Grape was a wonderful person. She obviously needs some guidance, but who doesn't?! It's so easy to sit and laugh and point fingers at people who obviously are being scammed. Let's take a look into your life and see just what skeletons you have, eh? You might not be sending money to a scammer but I GUARANTEE we would all find something in someone else's lives we would/wouldn't do. Times they've made mistakes. Issues with relationships. Issues with money ASIDE from this. Mental/personal issues. Yes, she may need some help now along the way here. This doesn't make her a worthless human like some of you are making her out to be.

It’s bad enough to fall for one romance scam. Romance scams are SO easy to avoid. It takes a real lack of IQ to fall for two romance scams. To fall for four or five? You are a danger to yourself and need a family member to take over as the person to manage all decisions related to finances, legal matters, and medical matters.

This woman is not capable of learning from mistakes. She believes an incredible handsome man would be interested in her, which is delusional, in all honesty. She bought every obvious lie she was told. She also talked about trying to get a home equity loan then later talks about not being able to pay rent. Which is it? You don’t pay rent if you own your own home. This is an indicator of her extreme lack of intelligence.

She deserves to be out all that money. She was a willing participant. Money wasn’t stolen; she gave it away. She got what she volunteered for.

um the fact that you have to give him money for travel expenses that should be the only red flag you need to know its fake. there is no normal non scam releationship this happens in. you've never met them in person , never video chatted and they ask for money.

Richard is a lot older than 54 because I am 51 and look 20 years younger than him. 54 year olds don’t look like this anymore so This is definitely a young Nigerian guy that doesn’t realize that this is actually a late 60s American man.

This lady makes me feel sad, so desperate to have a man that others have to pitch in finding a man for her. Then, laughing like there was something to laugh about, they got her money but ey!! Just laugh

I don’t understand what average women think they have in common with fit muscular men. They look like that because they live a certain lifestyle. Is she going to start going to the gym? It’s obvious fitness and a healthy lifestyle is most important to him. What are they thinking?

Once I'm a widow, and I want to date, unless he lives within 25 miles of me, forget it. And NO money! If he doesn't have money, adios amigos! I'm not supporting any man. At my age, any man that doesn't have any money, (at age 70), forget it! I'm well off but would never support any man, no matter how "cute" he is. Or how many gold bars he has.

Aside from losing money etc. which is totally understandable as a concern..why do people seem to (perhaps unknowingly) lump in that victims should block these people and it's better off to be totally alone than talking to scammers? Understand the concern with the money etc. just something off about their attitude.

While the dating coach is a good thing from Social Catfish as technically it's more than their basic business of just revealing scammers and tracking them down, it's no magic trick. Grape should bare in mind it'll most likely be really hard work and may not succeed at all.

The idea of blocking scammers irks me for some reason. 1. It won't really make any difference to them, they probably already have countless other victims lined up. So it's made out as some type of brave, decisive act it isn't
2. Most who suggest this would then all be too happy to leave the victims on their own with their presumed loneliness and not actually help them from being motivated to do things like this in the first place.

Only thing equivalent would be suggesting a psychologist...the ultimate "there do this, now I can feel good for having helped you, get out of my face"

It's my understanding video calls can be manipulated (although doubtless this is only the really resourceful scammers) and bare in mind you can even meet someone in real life and they are using you. Indeed that is probably most people these days to some extent.

A lot of people in the US have severe attachment trauma that caused them to still be children emotionally. These are the Grown, Wounded Children among us. And these people vote. They voted to elect a dangerous scammer to lead our country. This is a very serious problem folks. We need to become more psychologically aware.

He said THINGS I WANTED TO HEAR, very loving things that I wanted to hear from a man. 😳

These scammers talk on the level of a third grader. This is scary. These people can Vote, And recently they voted for a scammer to be president! Oh how surprising! Entitlement is staggering and we’re gonna lose everything because of people this unconscious.
