Looks depressing, dry and cold
ОтветитьBeautiful place i wish i can visit one day
ОтветитьI lived in Churchill from 1971-75 published a weekly newspaper - taiga times '71 and Baytides Bookstore. Fond memories.
ОтветитьLife in North Canada is so very unique and beautiful also very harsh in it's climate and isolation the higher you go.For the most part the communities are filled with people that are hardy with strong sense of community I am grateful that i experienced working and living in high Arctic east to west . I spent 10 years up there I can tell you , there truly is no other place like the Canadian North
ОтветитьI lived there for 23 most enjoyable years and still so miss the place and its great residents, worked with such happy caring work force first at the National Harbours later at the School District
ОтветитьI somehow want to forget that the COVID 19 pandemic ever happened ! It was such a horrible time
ОтветитьYou should do a video on parks Canada wardens
ОтветитьDo you have an update on this sir?
ОтветитьCool cmon visit Fort Nelson BC we live here much farther north of Churchill very pleasant
ОтветитьKeep Canada for Canada that US bankruptcy
ОтветитьI have added you to my Downey Live playlist. I live in Montana but it is actually a balmy summer day here compared to Churchill. It is October 7, 2024. Thank you and keep on traveling.
ОтветитьWhy isn't Churchill still not yet connected by a road? The closet road is in Gillum which isn't that far away. And it's not like there is some big mountain range in the way that keeps you from building a road there.
ОтветитьIs there a public transportation from Churchill train station to different places within churchil?
Ответитьwhen is the next visit???
ОтветитьNo, these are not most northern Park Canada Red Chairs....
ОтветитьAlthough I've not been my father was an RCMP officer stationed there in the early '50's.
Ответитьi was looking that thing inkshuk i was like thats it !!!! the story of the giants easter island and pompei and sphinx so far
ОтветитьAfter the first three minutes I'm pretty sure we know what you look like. Ahem...turn the camera around and show less of you and more of the town and local scenery.
ОтветитьSounded like he said con air
ОтветитьChinada.
ОтветитьLove towns like this! No chains, just local shops
ОтветитьCool video my friend.
ОтветитьImagine living in a town were everyone knows everyones business. Bet they're some of the most honest people around.
ОтветитьI visited Churchill a couple of times back in the 80s/90s. It was a little less slick back then but not really changed its character that much. Love your trilogy. Am currently using it as a prototype for a model railroad layout and found your vids while searching for landscape inspiration. Thanks for posting them.
ОтветитьLooks like Christmas at 55 degrees…
ОтветитьA tourist town?? You take a broken railroad to nowhere to get there. Then see miles of ice and polar bears that want to eat you. Mmm, I am a fool so I'm 'game' for it
Ответить"STATE restrictions?" Where are you from, really?
ОтветитьWhat month and days did you travel there? We were there in July and want to go back and your timing seemed to be perfect?
ОтветитьYou should move back to Vancouver right after the AD😂
ОтветитьMedia Whore !!!!!
You must work for Tourist Board .
I live here on Hendry st ,and nothing you said is helpful or true ... I live here
That's fascinating that Manitoba (and probably Saskatchewan) exports its grain on ships via Churchill. But if you look at a map you can see that that is the shortest, quickest and cheapest route to getting grain out to the Atlantic Ocean, Europe, etc.
ОтветитьMy buddy lived in Churchill MB for ten years when he was a kid. His dad was a Canadian Forces rocket scientist and Churchill is where the laboratory and testing grounds were located. This would have been the mid-1950's to mid-1960's. He said it was a great place ot be a kid and explore and learn about nature.
ОтветитьInteresting stuff. I was pleased ot hear that they only have locally owned businesses there! That is pretty cool. It is so sad when small towns are dominated by the run of the mill chains such as Wal Mart, McD's, etc.
I remember my geography teacher emphasizing the difference between continental climates and maritime climates by pointing out that Churchill is on the same latitude as London (Britain, not Ontario).
Would be nice if you included a map and the city location on it in your video.
ОтветитьWhat happened to the plans to revive the port of Churchill? When the sea ice all melts (as Al Gore predicted), it will become a year round port.
ОтветитьI lived in Saskatchewan for years. Now on Beautiful Vancouver Island 🏝️
ОтветитьCanada is literally one of the worst countries for tourism super overpriced and aub standard facilities
ОтветитьThere's a train station??? There are provincial capitals that don't even have that anymore! haha
ОтветитьThanks for this video
I'll make sure I never go there lol
I feel for them.
i would hate living there
ОтветитьIt’s crazy that this is what 58 degrees North looks like in Canada, like the edge of the earth. Whereas I’m in Scotland at the same latitude. Thank god for the Gulf Stream!
ОтветитьDid you just ask if Hudson bay is salt water?
ОтветитьNorthern Canada is a trip back in time.
It feels like the new frontier, very austiere.
Will never forgive myself for not visiting Churchill when I made it up to visiting Thompson MB 😮💨
