I actually didnt know that other countries dont really have mince pies. Im english, and i just grew up with them, and to me, its not christmas without a mince pie. Im really glad you liked them Desi! Also, i have the build a bear that you got, but i got it when i was a baby as a christening present. Im glad you can still buy it as its so cute 🧸💕

Two years later but YES I make mince pies every Christmas! (And btw the original version DID have meat in them, but not anymore.) and None Such brand is THE mince pie filling. You can also add a splash of brandy into the mix before putting into the crust! Enjoy!

Very cute. Especially dancing. That is not how we make mince pies though. You use short crust pastry. Cut round and press in muffin tin. Then add lid. When eating, eat warm and put brandy butter or Mascarpone cream under lid. We don't put meat in them now. Now they are just fruit and spice. But the Victorian's added meat. You couldn't taste it, but it was added to show off how wealthy they were ie to waste meat in a sweet pie. So glad we don't add meat anymore!
