I still visit Pendleton and I've been out for years. Any time I'm in San Clemente and I have time I'll roll through Pendleton.

I'll eat lunch (Pedro''s duh) down at that big tree behind 1st Marines. Or Talega. I spent most of my time up at 5th Marines because they kept the grunts away but TBH, north base is much prettier. Kinda like in Oki where they kept grunts on Schwab. Schwab and Nago are far better than Naha IMO. I've been to the stumps for ITX and division matches and hated that shithole. Lejeune was aight but you never left base if you didn't have a car unless you were going to Wilmington. Fuck I sure saw a lot of the Corps in 4 years.

I'm a Doc who's spent my first 4 years in 29. It holds a special place in my heart, but I put every one of my order picks as Pendleton...And I got Lejeune 😔 BIG Sadge

I went to Pendleton recently for a training event as an Army shitlord. And I must say, they got a damn fine beach over there. I even recognized that bay area where they practiced amphibious training with their vehicles. Even met some marines who were TDY themselves in a military hotel downstairs , which led to one of them being dragged off to be (presumably) "tucked into bed" because he was piss drunk. Good times.

Believe it or not, I had a great fucking time at Pendleton... I went to Admin school there (0121) when both coasts had the school.. I was at area 21 (south gate)

When I first got stationed at pendleton I hated it. Then I spent a month at 29 palms. I literally kissed the ground of Pendleton when I got back. I started walking around base areas exploring for the heck of it. Loved that base.

Bro MCAGCC used to suck but then you grew love for the stumps after EASing. Range 400 kicked my ass tho

So much truth to this. Camp Margarita (33 Area at Pendleton) 1981 to 1985 and Mainside Pendleton 1992 to 1994. CAX in 1983 and Mainside 29 Palms 2001 to 2004. No comparison at all - Pendleton was great and the Stumps looked post nuclear with temperatures like the surface of the sun.

I salute our American soldiers, and here say, I am protecting the conventional-that I myself have served for 44 years 24 solid by way of the American & International establishment. It does not mean anything to some people to try taking it even though, they are the worst. Real talk, Camp Wilson is a fuckin oasis when you're stuck spending 3 months in 29 Palms on a field artillery shoot. The convoy from Pendleton to 29 Palms is a bitch too. Especially when you're driving an uparmored Humvee that can't accelerate past 40 mph. Y'all 0811's know what I'm talkin 'bout!

Say what you will about 29 Palms, but I didn’t mind. Other than the alphas inspections outside the barracks on the corfam melting pavement, the absolute boredom, the cold ass winter nights, dragon’s back, sugar cookie, three sisters, anarchy rock, etc. nevermind.

I spent my first year in the stumps till 88 and then got sent to 1/5. I can confirm the accuracy of this propaganda piece. Place was heaven compared to that desert shithole.

Pendleton is the best the corps gets in the states.…just not 43 area.
