Breaking News One - Mother in Salford fire still does not know children died
The mother of four children who were killed in a horrific house fire earlier this month still doesn't know that her kids have died because she's still in a coma, her family has said.Demi Pearson, 14, her sister, Lacie, seven, and their eight-year-old brother, Brandon, were killed in the suspected arson attack in Salford, Greater Manchester, in the early hours of December 11. Their three-year-old sister, Lia, later died from her burns.Their mother Michelle Pearson, who turned 36 on Saturday, remains in a medically induced coma while doctors treat her serious burns.David Worrall, 25, and Courtney Brierley, 20, were charged alongside Zac Bolland, 23, with four counts of murder following the blaze.Michelle's mother, Sandra Lever, said that she had to spend Christmas without her daughter and four grandchildren, saying she's 'just taking every day' as it comes.She wrote on Christmas Day: 'Want to wish my 4 beautiful grandchildren LaCie demi Brandon lia a happy Christmas wish you was here it was not your time to go miss you so much everyday hurts with out you until we meet again love you loads xx.'The family has said that the four children will be buried side by side after their funerals.A GoFundMe page set up by Michelle's brother, Matt, has raised more than £22,000 for the funerals.Matt Pearson said on the page: 'I want to give these kids the best funeral they deserve with customized coffins for them.'Relative Courtney Pearson wrote a tribute to the four deceased children on Christmas, saying her heart 'breaks a little more' every day.She wrote: 'I just wish I could see your gorgeous faces one last time or just hold your hand. As the days go on my heart breaks a little more. It's Christmas and you should be here with your family, and not on your own up there.'I'm so glad you all have each other... I will miss how you told me your secrets and I'd tell you mine, how we'd have parties and movie nights. Just know your all in my hearts forever.'She later reflected on 2017, saying that she was left 'mentally scarred' over the Manchester terror bombing and losing her family deeply affected her.She wrote: 'I have never felt more attacked by life than in 2017, first of all the arena bombing which left me mentally scarred and struggling for months and just when I thought I was getting back on track I lose the closest people to my heart, a part of my family that has been wiped out by a childish act!!!'This year will not break me now because i know my 4 bestfriends are giving me strength,'Meanwhile, the suspects accused of murdering the four children in the arson attack have reportedly been attacked behind bars by fellow inmates.Worrall is said to have had his fingers broken by an inmate at HMP Forest Bank in Salford, according to the Daily Star Sunday.A source said Brierley was also attacked with boiling water at HMP Styal in Cheshire and has now been moved to another prison.Bolland, meanwhile, is currently on remand at Strangeways Prison, Manchester, as the thr
