Sean Riedy - Reminiscences Under a Fading Summer Sky (Sheet Music + Audio)

"Reminiscences Under a Fading Summer Sky (2022) is a piece for solo piano. Written in a few days at the end of September, Reminiscences paints a nostalgic vignette of a summer filled with innocent merriment and love. Although slightly bittersweet in tone, it is not yet marked by the complex emotions characteristic of Gone, my other piece in the program (https://youtu.be/-zShSljkpsI); the sky is fading, but it isn't yet completely out of view. The somewhat old-fashioned idiom employed in the work evokes the tenderness and sentimentality felt when one reflects on their happiest memories."
