Was considering Kamvas 13 as first device to dabble with... But ended up going even cheaper and bought Inspiroy 2 L pen tablet. Guess I could throw the saved money on better monitor for my computer.

Im very intrigued by the xp-pen tablet. I use an XP-pen cintiq clone and it works very well (better than my actual Wacom cintiq— mainly because it’s an older 16inch with that annoying top cable). So I quite like xp-pen. And my iPad is getting on in years I need to upgrade and I want a bigger size say 12/13 inches. So that xp-pen for 500 is looking very intriguing to me. I also hear that they fixed the pen tracking. Given this change how would you compare it with your number 1 pick (the IPad Air?)

I just got the Tab S8 ultra a few months ago and I don't think I'll ever go back to anything smaller. I was a big iPad guy for years but I r really don't like iOS. I like the apps not not the OS. I got the Tab S8 Ultra for super cheap and it looks brand new. I really love using infinite painter. For the price I got it and the performance, I'm good for a while.

I know not everyone feels the same but I like iPad Pro M2 because it's LCD. Mostly because of PWM flicker. I get some discomfort from OLED but not much. My old man, not so much. I like showing my family things, and LCD is good enough for me. It's a really good LCD

Before I used to use a surface pro 7 (still use it for graphic design) and when I was drawing on that I needed a keyboard I carried for my hot keys and then a mouse so I had to lug 3 items in my bag, now I just have to carry the iPad and apple pen (that I got a case to bundle them both up) and my copy of clip studio has built in hotkeys but yeah overall it's been the best portable tablet to draw on from someone using the surface modes for about 3 years

My daughter is 13 and really wants a drawing pad. She currently draws on our computer touch screen and enjoys it but I can only imagine that will go so far. Not being a tech person myself, what is the best for the $ that will take her through high school?

Is the Galaxy Tab S9 FE worth the usual $100 premium over the S6 Lite? I don't draw at all, but the lag on the S6 Lite has me leaning toward the S9 FE. I'm just looking for something to read comics and novels, browse reddit, and maybe watch a few shows here and there.

Can you recommend between the Samsung S9 FE and S9 FE Plus? (both 8GB, 128GB) I wonder what screen size would be more inviting to draw and paint on, the 10.9" or the 12.4"?
Another two I wonder about are the iPad Air 11 M2 and iPad 10th, the price difference is almost double between those two models, but what mainly bothers me with the iPad 10th is the low storage space of 64GB (and very soon iPad 11th will be out)...while the iPad Air is over my budget. Still, if it's worth it, I'll consider saving money and getting the iPad Air, but I'll have to save money with the pen.
Can you recommend any replacement pen for the iPad Air? Do you recommend the iPad Air much better than the Samsung S9 FE and S9 FE Plus?

I'm using mine now...I replaced my Samsung 7fe. I like it a lot more than I thought. I love the screen...it works and is vivid.

Ok, but what would you recommend between the two: iPad Air 2024 or an iPad Pro 2022? Both cost about the same nowadays, but I have a hard time deciding between the two. 120hz is pretty significant for drawing and for me personally in general, better screen, both have M2 chips, one uses the 2nd gen pen and the other the pro (which, from what I've heard and you've said isn't too important), but the Air will still get updates in a few years time.

I'm an artist with low vision and will be going to school this spring. I need to save up for a large screen drawing tablet because my screen magnifiers cause my computer to lag when used with any art programs, so I'll need a big screen that I can actually get close to. Leaning into my monitor while trying to draw steadily isn't practical, so quality versus value, which tablet would you recommend that's 19 inches or bigger?

I would go with the Galaxy but I need to use Photoshop.

I'm an Art student, and I have an S9 FE with 8GB RAM. I feel it is a little slow and baggy, and the screen is a little small, so I am upgrading to the S9 FE+ with 12GB RAM. I figure the regular S9 tablet comes with 12GB RAM as well, so I assume that the performance will be better compared to 8GB?

Me watching my 9 yo Galaxy Tab A10.1 SPen: "You're still fine.."

The problem with apple devices is that they can't really work with files on a network drive. So when you have to iterate quickly - for example when making games - it's just too slow to work with.

I'm still using my iPad Pro 2nd gen (seven years now !). Procreate, Affinity Designer and Affinity Photo do all I need, and the device still works like a charm. I cancelled my Photoshop subscription and sold my Wacom Cintiq 13 pro. What I enjoy the most is the freedom not to be plugged to my computer, which for me was unbearably cumbersome.

There is TCL NXTPAPER 14, which looks interesting as it is paper texture like tablet for reading with a pen. I think you should check it out.
