Sam Haywood: The Other Side

This is a piece I wrote for the 'Musik und Dichtung' series at the Wiener Konzerthaus last week.

It was inspired by Alfred Kubin's 'The Other Side', a novel about a dream kingdom which becomes a nightmare. It describes a journey to a mysterious city deep in Asia - perhaps also a journey into the depths of the subconscious. Some of Kubin's own illustrations from the book are cut into the video. Arachnophobes beware!
