Protests Outside Columbia University

4.26.24 | by Chris | MORNINGSIDE HEIGHTS, Manhattan -- Days after Columbia University students created a massive tent encampment on the Upper Manhattan campus to protest the Israel-Hamas war, protests outside the university continue. Protesters have been contained to the sidewalk outside the gates of the Ivy League university. There has been since the start of the protests a heavy NYPD presence. On the evening of this particular protest, the NYC Department of Corrections had three buses waiting blocks away.
