48 hours in KUWAIT 2024 الكويت

In September 2023, I was offered the opportunity to get hold of cheap flights to Kuwait... That it still has over 40 degrees Celsius there at this time of year, you just have to accept... but yes, it was damn hot! So I flew via Istanbul to Kuwait City, where I then had 2 full days to explore the capital of the small emirate. The city is not really compact in the classic sense, everything stretches quite far, but I was able to reach pretty much everything by foot, although this proved to be a challenge due to the heat. In any case, a sufficient supply of water was essential. Especially at night, the city unfolds a certain magic, when the quite impressive architecture is brightly lit. Also during the day one marvels at large parks (in the middle of the desert) and large souks. The two days were enough for me to see what I wanted to see, and I would not want to miss the experience.
