Hey Sugs, QUESTION: Can us mere mortals get recipe cards for your paint jobs please, even if just an image of whats used
K Thx Bye
Goblin green bases are classic. I love them too. :)
ОтветитьSo Aztec based sounds cool maybe they return out do the warp thousands of years later and find a primaris chapter has replaced them
ОтветитьI think the timeline for the Rainbow Warriors goes like this:
Rainbow Warriors experienced a Civil War in the Chapter, (be it the revelation of their Origins or just good old fashioned Tzeentchian Corruption, possibly the Crystals they used)
As a result Remnants of the Thousand Sons landed on the planet being chased by the Ultramarines and the Sisters of Battle,
In the chaos Trazin managed to bag a Rainbow Warrior (perhaps even the Chapter Master as he was shot by the Sister for either being a Traitor or Due to the Confusion),
The Chaos Part of the Chapter was Purged but the Suriviving Rainbow Warriors don't walk out easy, as Penance, they are Stripted if their Homeworld (or it was lost in battle) Their Chapter Name Removed, Their Parent Legion Disowning them and Their Chapter Number taken by a New Replacement made from Imperial Fist Stock,
While the Older Generation of Rainbow Warriors Grudge against the Ultramarines remain as it got passed on to the succeding Generation of Astartes.
lost me in the first 15 seconds, Fuck You
ОтветитьThese videia talk about what really matters in 40k. And I love them for it
Ответить2 possible explanations for the unusual colours of the weapons come to mind... Either they are imbued with demonic/warp energy, possibly directly from Tzeentch and this energy increases the power of the weapons while giving a distinctive glow? The other possibility is they are unhallowed weapons of alien origin. Perhaps there was an alien civilisation on Prism from before human colonisation? A cash of their technology may have been discovered by the Rainbow Warriors and either used as is or adapted by the Techmarines much as the Emperor's Children adapted their sonic weaponry from technology found on the chaos-touched world of Davin
It could even be a combination of the 2, the alien weapons using warp energy in a way humanity has yet to master but the Techmarines were able to adapt it for use by the chapter? If it were discovered that the chapter was using unhallowed, warp-tainted technologies and they refused to give it up, perhaps claiming it was superior to human tech, (maybe the plasma weapons were more stable and less likely to kill the wielder?) then that would certainly bring the wrath of the Inquisition/Imperium down on the world of Prism!
If you wished to put together an army based on outcast remnants of the chapter, then perhaps equip a veteran or command squad solely with plasma weapons and count them as Tau Plasma Rifles, which I believe have a slightly lower strength but do not have the propensity to blow up and kill their user? Maybe a veteran assault squad armed with those pretty swords and count them as lightning claws to re-roll wounds?
(I am actually not up on current edition rules so the above may be inaccurate!)
I really like the end result of the painted miniature.
ОтветитьThe blade of the rainbow warrior is beautiful! Maybe you should try the same Colors for the plasma? From Green to pink?
ОтветитьUh, obvious what RW representts
ОтветитьIt definitely makes sense in my head that the RWs and DS marines were groups of loyalist Thousand Sons who were 'reassigned' to different loyalist legions after Magnus fell to heresy - the Ultramarines eventually suppressed the RWs because Prism was under attack by heretic Thousand Sons warbands and the Ultramarines lost confidence in the RWs to not fall. The DS have a grudge against the Ultramarines because they see it as a crime that a group of their gene-brothers who never fell to heresy were suppressed, and they worry it sets a precedence for the Imperial Fists to do the same to them or the Soul Drinkers.
ОтветитьLegion of the Damned is my favorite "loyalist" chapter. Black Legion is easily top 3.
ОтветитьWould you have any advise on how to do a prismatic wing? I love your prismatic sword style, thinking of applying the same for Celestine’s wings. Doing it for each wing seems a bit of an overkill tho. Haha
ОтветитьIt could be that Rainbow Warriors were one of the Lost Primarchs legions which were added into the folds of other legions such as the Ultramarines and the Imperial Fists.
Ответитьexcellent craftmanship wish i could paint with insane detail
and beautiful accent.
You probably could do some crazy projects with a 3d printer. I may not know much about these figure but I do know they are expensive.
Really love this interpretation of the lore.
I think the whole thing can be compile together.
We know that the Imperial Fist and Ultramarine got the highest number of Marine when the 2nd and 11th Primarchs got "purge" and "forgotten".
Maybe the Deathstrike and Rainbow Warrior share the same geneseed of one of these Primarchs.
Sharing the same Icon is really telling.
I wonder if over the following 10 000 years that followed the heresy, if the Rainbow Warrior techology (using prism technology etc) was not flag as Heretic Technology.
That would explain the Sororitas showing up to purge them and the Ultramarine doing nothing to stop it.
As for the chaos god, well if the prism technology does not come from the God Emperor's creation or from the Cult of Mars there is only one faction left to teach them to use it!
That would make an amazing book, honestly!
oh comon ultramarines have a ton of flavor, they used to be bland in 3rd ed but gained a ton of lore they have over 20 books and suppliment stories to back it up thier amazing.
ОтветитьMakes me think of the rainbow treasure goblins from Diablo 3. Awesome stuff!
Ответитьya this is cool thay could fix this story up it could have been when dorn went to go see his glove for 3 days thay left planet before codax and went there own way the way of the reinbow bro
ОтветитьHe looks fabulous
ОтветитьI've always thought, the Rainbow Warriors got mixed up with the last of the Old Ones.
ОтветитьWhere do I get my hands on this Wokey Cokey product you are allegedly peddling.
ОтветитьIs it a coincidence that the French government sank the Rainbow Warrior, and the symbol of the Sisters of Battle is the Fluer the Lys? I think not!
ОтветитьI was always under the impression they were eaten by the skaven
ОтветитьYou are an amazing gifted and colourfull painter , my interest since rogue trader 1st ed "record deleted" got me here . Ever since i was a kid i wanted an army of that misterious chapter, i read everything 1st and second ed except the novels , then kept only following the mainrulebooks. (I dont work in a comic/game shop anymore). Ive decided recently to give myself the army i always wanted, half chaos , half rainbow warrior and throw in a few old school robots (love kastelan). Might contrast but i love to see machine fail their programs other than my job 😂. Thanks for the uplifting video on a subject i love to hear others impressions of it . Oh i do believe they went chaos
ОтветитьI mean I understand why the algorithm took me here but wtf? Rainbows warriors in the 41st millennium. She definitely did not understand the assignment, did she?
ОтветитьI hope someday i get into something as much as Louise does Rainbow Warriors
ОтветитьYes! A deep dive. ✨💖✨
ОтветитьI wouldn't be surprised if a misunderstanding lead to a spat between the Sisters of Battle and the Rainbow Warriors. Wouldn't be the first time a misunderstanding or worse led to infighting between Imperial forces.
ОтветитьAs far as I know The Rainbow Warriors is just a cool name. I spoke with Andy Chambers in 1996, he was in Denmark for War Con, and he answered a lot of questions regarding Warhammer, Epic and 40K. He told us a lot of tall tales and a lot of facts about GW both before and after he was hired. I seem to remember a question about Rainbow Warriors and he answered that it was just a cool name for a space marine chapter.
If the artist that made the picture (the space marine fighting a pre-sister of battle) is presenting a Greenpeace vs the French government that's on him. By Andy Chambers account it's just a cool name.
the rainbow warriors were an indigenous tribe of Formosa that were so effective against Imperial Japanese Army that they had to use chemical weapons to battle them in Taiwan
ОтветитьI'm sorry, but when the Rainbow Warriors were first brought into 40k (yes I'm old) I thought they sucked big time. And now I'm much wiser, I realise that I was absolutely correct.
ОтветитьHardly a secret when they where in the orginal Rogue Trader rulebook
ОтветитьThe goblin green base is really a perfect touch for this miniature. It also hits nice nostalgic notes too!
ОтветитьWay late to the game here but for a prismatic plasma effect you could try a colour shift from loyalist blue through purple to a heretic red 🎉
ОтветитьI really want to make a black Templar army with prismatic sword and coloured helmets and of course, rainbows
ОтветитьMy personal headcanon for my band of Rainbow Warriors (planning on buying them) is that Prism wasn’t destroyed but redesignated and all records of the chapter removed so they can wage a shadow war against the Alpha Legion without fear of info leaks.

Ответитьhow you do the sword???? i must know
ОтветитьCRAICCCCCC- LOREEEEEEE, 'SORRY IF YOUR OLD LOL' LMAO, ITS NUNS KILLING THE SINNER PRIDE GUY
ОтветитьThis was amazing! I loved the mix of lore and painting. Your style has so much personality and I can't wait to binge watch the rest of your content! 🦖
ОтветитьHi Louise! I've come to present to you a rabbit hole to fall into, wherein people are kitbashing Gunpla with their Warhammer models or just plain painting and gluing their Gunpla as a big ol' Tau mech. They are so far few and far between (because you'd be surprised at how much the two hobbies don't overlap) but they do exist and they are magnificent. The Iron Blooded Orphans Gunpla kits have a real blood-and-steel vibe to their designs that lend a lot to a diesel meets demon themed kitbash and the HG ones are really cheap comparatively. The IBO anime is also REALLY good as far as Gundam goes, if you're into that.
ОтветитьI really think the Rainbow Warriors are tied to the Lost Primarchs somehow
ОтветитьMy lore for the rainbow warriors is this. On the planet of prism the home world of the rainbow warriors hidden away was a small conclave of "the old ones" or slann they watched as the humans survived and eventually conquered prism which was a jungle death world much like catachan. The rainbow warriors were the direct children of quetzal one if the missing primarches. Who actually teleported via chaos to the planets surface and brought peace and harmony and sustainability with him as he grew and forged his kingdom. Eventually the old ones made contact and taught quetzal (the flying serpent) ancient technology and magics and sorcery. Which allowed them too become quite adavnced. The rainbow warriors learned many rituals and sacrifices from theold ones. And eventually learned how to clone themselves usimg ancient spawning pools on the surface hidd3n away in ancient old one temples. Eventually the emperor found quetzal and searched his mind and found out he had accepted these heretical magics and technology and ordered an exterminatus and removed all mention of the primarch and his people.
ОтветитьWhat about the possibility of the rainbow warriors not succumbing to chaos.. and they were redacted because as descendants of ultramarines..they grew begrudged by the misdeeds knowing too much of how things actually work..and though they are still aren't on the side of evil and still against it.. still the "good side" they revolted against their old particular flavor of good side. So to keep others from rising up as well of to hide not well known secrets... they redacted their most from history and twisted what little is told. And the few times it's been mentioned.. its to hint at this or to cause confusion or propaganda. Not sure if that could make sense with other lore..I'm new to this. But thats what I first thought hearing you describe it. This could even align with the other theory.. when they failed at doing so..thats what led to the need to erase their memories and reuse them. But I for one hope the small piece of lore have been twisted to give us the wrong idea and redacted.. and they are still out there fighting both sides when they can but not on a larger scale..maybe infiltrating the ranks to slowly but surely take over with their own mission and we will get stories of the truth in the future. Imagining them as total badasses. Again sorry if not of this works just basing it off of what I heard in this video ha
ОтветитьWhat about Ultramarines in proper bluish purple ultramarine blue?
Ответить
