Top tip, only load 5 rounds in the mag untill the gun breaks in, the reasoning behind this is that the mag spring is stiffer when brand new therefore causing the failure to feed properly untill the spring relaxes from use. Easy peasy and applies to all mag fed guns.
ОтветитьI would never own that rifle.👎👎👎
ОтветитьThat receiver looks ratchet
ОтветитьGet a savage. Much better...
ОтветитьWhat a POS. I own 3 22 magnums. An H&K model 300 which is from way back & always works.
The most reliable & accurate 22 mag I have is the Rossi sr22M with a 10-shot mag. It has delayed blowback. It cost me a whopping $239.00. Works every time, even out in the Mn winters riding around in my SXS, it shoots 1-inch grps @100yds with several different kinds of ammo. I've known people who have owned Ruger's 22mags, I know why they got rid of them, just as you will.
I have a 22hmr similar to this and I have to load the magazine and pay attention to the position of it so I think it’s the magazine that is the problem.
ОтветитьNeed to smooth/polish the hammer and the bottom of the bolt and lubricate it. Your extractor is weak, but I will say that loading your magazine in the rifle then charging it is not ideal. Lock bolt back, then insert magazine and release the bolt. Polishing your chamber and feed ramp will help. Glad that BCA is pushing their envelope, almost reminds me of Kel-tec,and PSA but they had to do some recalls at a loss. Hopefully the manual details break in procedures or BCA starts doing it at their NC facility
ОтветитьSome semi autos don't like the lighter bullets because less back pressure doesn't allow full bolt motion. The bullet weight has more to do with function than velocity.
ОтветитьWhy no accuracy test on paper targets?
ОтветитьYou know when you are headed for disaster when a company with questionable quality tries to remake a rifle that a company with good quality gave up on.
ОтветитьBca is bullshit
Horrible service. Mediocre product
I own a magnum research version of this, had it for ten yrs or so. The 15 Rd mags fit and operate in it just fine . I had a failure in the first 10 rounds which blew the 9 round mag completely out the bottom and my shades off my face. Short story brought it back to store and they tested 100 rounds thru it no troubles so I took it back with a new mag and haven't had issues since . Love the gun carbon fiber wrapped barrel, laminated thumbhole stock makes for a lightweight comfortable plinker. Only drawback Its a very dirty action lots of unburnt powder after not many rounds
ОтветитьProbably a weak extractor spring or inadequate one. I had a savage mark II that did that. Doubling up on the extractor springs solved that issue
ОтветитьI don’t think it’s much controversial I could make better parts for ar out of a trash can… bca is more like a septic tank
ОтветитьYou need a bigger scope.
ОтветитьQuality control?
Why China.
rides the bolt all the way home on a brand new gun “there we go first jam”
ОтветитьTalks to muck
ОтветитьWell savage makes the 22 magnum auto now too tho
ОтветитьI really wanted to see this work. I have a couple BCA uppers with great performance.
ОтветитьPOS
Ответить👀😳😲🫨👍👍👍👍
ОтветитьYa goose! Relax
Ответитьseams like a mag problem to me
ОтветитьMy god this was a brutal review to watch. This guy is insufferable to watch.
ОтветитьI saw a video on ASP recently that showed a guy shooting steel pretty close like this and he got hit and ended up passing away unfortunately. How do you shoot steel like this in the video so close, and safely? I think the target was a moving target like this that the guy was shooting as well
Ответитьhard to watch - alot of grief with this one
ОтветитьBCA is garbage!! Not worth the box they shipped it in! They don't stand behind their name, worthless!
ОтветитьI own a Ruger 10/22 22wmr 😂
ОтветитьThey cost more than a ruger!!!
ОтветитьDid you clean before you start shooting just asking?
ОтветитьThat looks cool. I am a Marlin fan but the Ruger 10/22's are some real fine rifle. I found a Marlin 922M, basically a Camp 9/45 but in 22WMR magazine fed. I also have the Keltec CMR and PMR 30, I can say magazines can be very finicky for the long 22WMR case. Not sure if you only have one mag but would be worth a try to get another. That and some light polishing of the bolt, I'd bet you can get it to run. Seeing your issues with feeding, i want to say it is a magazine issue, and with that fixed you may be able to just shoot it enough to break in and not have to polish anything.
ОтветитьWell my Magnum Research cost me a little more that that, and works a little better that that, if is a soft point the same issues, if is complete jacket no problems and likes the heavy grain better.
ОтветитьI love semi auto, but not in a rim fire because of the malfunctions. Nice rifle though.
Ответитьnice looking bipod,
who makes that. please?
Thanks!
If you want to fix the problems with this gun, listen up.
1) pull the barrel out. Take a 3/8 ball burr bit and lightly chamfer the chamber. Then use a cleaning cotton and some mothers polish and polish the chamber
2) round and polish the bottom of the bolt where it hits the hammer
3) sharpen then put more of an angle on the extractor. Stretch the extractor spring a little bit
4) stretch the magazine plunger spring.
5) scotch brite the inside of the receiver
First thing. When you cock that rifle, you pull it back and let it go. Not like the first time you cocked it. You pulled it back and “helped” it go back forward. Especially when these rifles are new, you let it go and do its thing.
ОтветитьA failure on the first round loading??? No. I would think that some one with as much firearms experience as you would know that you don't "ride the bolt home" on a semi-auto. You pull the bolt back, release it and let the recoil spring do its job. Ejection direction......trivial.
ОтветитьA 22wmr auto loader is always going to be ammo picky
ОтветитьCZ is the only company that’s ever made a proper 10/22 mag
ОтветитьToo bad you didn't watch Boomstick79's review of 22lr version. One of the worst 22 rifles on the market.
ОтветитьNo I don't have I'll pass on this one
ОтветитьBCA is a trash company that sells a trash product hopefully sooner rather than later people figure this out and stop supporting them
ОтветитьI appreciate your style of presentation. Great channel!
ОтветитьAfter watching this I realized why I gave up on the semi auto 22mags. I have a PMR 30 that is very finicky. Works great with CCI but not much else. The Armscor works as well but a lot of residue from unburned powder.
ОтветитьAnd if it’s finicky on ammo and only shoots a certain ammo that doesn’t group worth a darn the gun is worthless as a you know what on a bull.
ОтветитьThanks for the review. Imo there is not…and never will be…a reliable semi auto 22WMR on the planet. I stick to bolt and wheel guns in the chambering.
Ответитьi really liked the look of this 22. I'm glad i waited, i have had my 10/22 since like 1990 and had less jams. I got one of their bufferless ar9 and it required some parts to get it reliable. trigger, firing pin and charging handle. Shoots good now but it's hard to trust it
