Therefore Ruger American in 308 or 30-06 for the rifle. Mossberg 590 for the shotgun, yes 20 Guage is absolutely viable, no on the Maverick 88. Sig or Ruger for the pistol, 9mm at a min, 40 cal or 10 mm preferred. AR 15s are ok. I prefer AK 47.

Instead of the Mosin go with a Mauser it's just a better gun.

I love when people say that the .22 isn't strong enough for self defense. Like you said, a shot to the dome would ruin your day.

I like what he said at the end about firearms not being the main priority. In a real world “apocalypse” or crisis, your gun would really only be useful for a limited time.

We got some what of a taste of how our government responded with COVID. Now imagine another virus much more deadly while also being highly contagious.

Martial law would be enacted, and the world would stop spinning. There would be mass rioting, looting, and overall mayhem. You would obviously stay in your home. So yeah food, water, and medical supplies become paramount in this situation.

I don't see being able to harvest small game in a large city, so I'm not so sure a 22lr rifle is a good choice in a city setting, it may be better to have another large caliber rifle, or even a secondary side arm, to back up the primary.

I've been a subscriber for a little over a year; and really enjoy this channel. But I'm finding that I like the older videos better - perhaps because they're geared toward newer preppers. Keep up the good work!

I'm perfecting the digital voltage regulator for my solar powered M-134. I already have my 460 magnum I built out of discarded soda cans and surplus carbon fiber I found laying around. I just got the picatinny rail mounted to my .22 magnum I made by lining a drilled oak dowel with 5/16 copper tubing. I'm spending the weekend driving around burying ammunition in places I'll never find again.

One or two good shooters are all you need with proper tactics!

In Basic Training 1991 we spent an entire day at the range firing at 500m with M16A2. Just switching to the low light site appature we were all hitting inside a 12in circle consistently. So at a point target the max effectice range is not 300m. It is 500m.
I carry:
G26 9mm subcompact concealed carry and G17 9mm full size open carry. Yes in Texas. Both Gen 5
Rifles I have Ruger 10/22, Remington 700 in .308.
Shotguns , Remingtin 870 12ga for anti personel and a single shot 12ga for hunting.
My with list is some variation of AR15. S&W M&P 15T Looks like a decent option. Without a doubt in NATO 5.56x45. You can use .223 and 5.56. If in .223 you cannot use 5.56.
All I consider is battlefield ammo. Meaning how easy will it be to find ammo. 9mm, 22LR, .308, 5.56, 12ga 2 3/4 all very easy to find.
You will never find me with all at the same time. 2 pistols, 10/22 and single shotgun generally. Others are use for anti personel defense.

What about land mines and remote detonation explosives? Exploding really takes the wind out of looter's sails when they come for your beans.

I would argue that lever gun is a near top pick. Doesn't require a magazine, they are chambered in common rounds like 22lr, 357, and 44, can be used for self defense and hunting, and have a track record measured in centuries (100+ years) dont disagree with yours...but maybe an honorable mention. unless it would be included in the long rifle category
