This manager is ridiculous.
ОтветитьIts very illegal to not pay for work hours. And a mandatory meeting is considered work.
ОтветитьMandatory off the clock meetings are illegal in the united states.
ОтветитьNew law enacted: It’s ok to b slap narcissistic, gaslighting, bully bosses.
ОтветитьHope you recorded all this for the labor board
ОтветитьNEVER tell your boss that you'll go to the labor board, just ask for this to be in writing or email them your understanding of the conversation and ask for confirmation of the conversation. Then, if they follow through with the threat, then go to the labor board and/or labor attorney and cash out big.
ОтветитьStuypid biznatch manager.
ОтветитьCommon sense is your best defence, and this lady has it !
ОтветитьYou go girl. Not easy to stand up to management. Especially under threat to job loss.
ОтветитьA good lawyer loves managers like this. Easy money
ОтветитьIsn’t this an Emily and Karen story?
I mean, nearly word for word…
Stand up for your rights 💪 ✨️ 💯 🤺🤺🤺⚖️⚖️⚖️💪💪💪🗽🗽🗽
ОтветитьBoss: not my job to work around your schedule
Me: And its NOT MY job to be available on your whim during MINE TIME! Secondly, you will not be making an example of me, due to prior commitments. Third, not only will the labor board be informed, so will be my labor attorney.
Folks these situations are real for a lot of folks. Know your rights, stand on them, and push as far as you have to to fix these issues. Im teaching my wife these things now and she has since changed the dynamics between her and her company. The harassment and bully has stopped completely and they approach her with respect now instead of with arrogance
ОтветитьThis is illegal for non-exempt employees. You have to pay them what they work. For salaried employees, it's different. You actually CAN ask them to attend meetings outside of their regular work hours. Just don't be a "d" about it if they can't come because they have a kid's soccer game or dinner with the family. I had an employee once who had to catch a bus to get home. Making him miss the buss would be me being a "d". Don't be a d, okay?
ОтветитьIf she wants sacrifice, no problem. Sacrifice the job.
ОтветитьCan't make you work overtime, EVEN if they pay. NRJ.
