That is a fantastic video!!! Love how you took me through it. I'm such a visual learner. It was if I could watch that and learn everything I need to know about it. Looking forward to getting mine. 50th birthday present

Lost my dive computer during holiday and the dive centre had the peregrine as a rental computer. Feel in love with it during two dives and am seriously debating buying the TX with transmitter now as replacement even though it is over my intended budget. Should tell one enough about how great this product is.

As a recreational diver is this alot better than suunto eon core? Screen looks smaller than the eon core?

So disappointed in my base model Peregrine. Did a lot of research before buying it and it has proved to be so Unreliable. The screen fogs over for the first 5 minutes of every dive. I returned it under warranty to the UK centre who stipped it down and could find no fault. They changed all seals and returned it.
I do not dive in the UK so had no way to check it was working properly until my next dive trip. I fly 6 hours and board my liveaboard to find the screen fogs over just like before. You can't even read the screen. I try to keep it cool out of the sun but it makes no difference. I have never seen any other computer do this. My old suunto viper worked 10 years never any issues. Everybody comments and tells me my computer is flooded.
I am now speaking to shearwater again trying to resolve.
Very disappointed.

shame that it doesn't have user replaceable batteries.... won't be buying this unit even as nice as it looks to be... don't need a $1000 brick

As a recreational diver is the entry price of $1K worth the upgrade over my Suunto Vyper. It only cost 100% more to go first class.

What's the difference between the TX and the Perdix?

I know there is a big form factor difference between this and the Tern TX, but is there any other major differences? I'm torn. 56 year old eyes thinks this might be better, but regular watch over chunky box leans towards Tern. Any big factors to help break the tie?

So what is a dive centre likely to say when you rock up with your Peregrine TX and Swift Transmitter? Will it be a certainly sir we can accommodate that or sorry but you can’t put that onto our equipment? You’ll need your own regulator for that… I’m looking to buy my first computer for recreational purposes and I’m wondering what dive centres opinions are likely to be. Perhaps current owners of the Perdix or Teric might have an insight?

Fantastic! Doing my open water dives this upcoming weekend, I wanted AI for my dive computer but couldn't really justify splurging for the perdix 2.

I'm taking this as a sign..

So Bummed. I really wanted the compass function but traded it away when I bought my regular Peregrine. I now have 8 dives on the unit, but would have waited for sure to get the new TX if I knew it was going to be released.

Can u please anwser this question. Can I have my depth. Dive time. No deco time. Air pressure and compass. All on the same screen at the same time? Can I have all five of those things. Or so I have to keep hitting buttons to switch back and forth to the compass??

Dive computers are the new mobile phones, the technology updates so quickly they’ll be offering an upgrade program next!

Will the Peregrine TX work with Aqualung Transmitters? The Perdix seems to do it. I bought the Transmitter few weeks ago for my I770R because Shearwater said they had no plans to do a Peregrine TX... And I will not buy a Transmitter for twice the money when I have one...

Hi. I feel very disappointed and cheated by suunto. I m msdt and i was actually using a d6i novo as an instructoe and always advising students to use at least a zoop while diving to learn how to use it while on the course so theu re comfortable when they leave alone...i feel deeply regretfulknowing that suunto was unloading defective pressure sensors that i helped them sell as part of my course. What do you thi k would be a solid computer to move to today and to advise students to get as a brand that reputable and serviceable and reliable not suunto.

Shearwater has been killing it lately. This new Peregrine TX is one hell of a unit. It's probably the last dive computer a typical recreational diver will ever need.

If I didn't already have a Perdix 2, I would totally buy one.

Looks like a nice computer! But unless I care about air integration or a compass, is there any reason to pay the additional money for a TX instead of a regular peregrine? Awesome video once again!

The only real question for me is the Peregrine TX or the APEKS. The prices are a little different over the years of use, not a big deal.

I am still waiting for the Mares Quad CI. I know that Shearwater is of course a more prestigious brand of dive computer, but still at the price point of €750 dive computer with transmitter, colour screen, nitrox, trimix, Z16C, rechargeable battery, built-in Bluetooth it will be a great competitor.

I'm WAITING for this computer!
Other square shape computer are Tech computer, so they have over spec for recreational diver. My eyes become weak because of age, it means round shape computer, like Tern, is too small to see in 40cm range. Shearwater technicians agreed my opinion.... It's time to get AI computer! Also, I need a backup computer so I can solve this issue at once!
