A Masterpiece in the Racing Genre || Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit Remastered Review

I loved Hot Pursuit, I bought the Limited Edition for the PC back in the day, which sadly didn't get the DLCs the console versions got. So this was a must-buy, just for the DLCs!

Kinda late but This was a good video I didn’t think you would do NFS Reviews. I love Hot Pursuit; you forgot to mention how Cool the Turbo Boost sound is too. Plus You might not read this but I have a theory.




Hot Pursuit is some kind of Corporate War. Now you may be wondering how? Have you ever noticed the two companies HudsenTech and HCM? You know the two Companies that are arming the Cops and Racers literal military grade weaponry. They are taking advantage of the Rivalry between the Cops and Racers for more Profit. Some descriptions of the Cop Missions even mention Hudson Tech and explain why that Interception is even happening. Maybe the entirety of Hot Pursuit the Racers, HudsenTech vs. the Cops, HCM. I mean where does the SCPD get its funding for Interception Units and RoadBlocks from? Where do the Racers get New Cars from? I think not only does HudsenTech and HCM make the Pursuit Tech but the Cars as well. They are the only names Companies in the game. I wish I would go into more detail but It’s hard to explain it without it being extremely long making a TLDR.

I realy didnt like the one vs one cop vs racer events where you played as a cop. Missing your target and then having to turn 180 which felt like ages was one of the more frustrating expereinces in the game. On the other hand, i relay liked cop time trials because you had to be so precise.

Need for Speed Hot Pursuit is the best in everything it tries to be, and way ahead of it's time in terms of mechanics. I play this game to this day

I absolutely love this game, it is the brightest gem among gems. But the one problem I have with this game that you didn’t mention is the rubberbanding. You’ll be putting a lot of distance between you and the police, then all of a sudden they’ll fly up to where you are at like Mach 10, much, much faster than that car can normally go. I understand why they do it, but I still don’t really like it, breaks the immersion a bit.

Kinda wished during rapid response, civilian vehicles actually abided by traffic laws and attempted to pull over TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD INSTEAD OF INTO THE ROAD when they hear the sirens, as well as have police roadblock “those damn civies” editions to clear the way for later in the rapid response and on intersections, again like in real life

best nfs of all time. just needs more cars, free roam, customization, and thats it.

Current day NFS in a nutshell lol, offers great customization but not much else.

I honestly feel Criterion should make a new Hot Pursuit style game (or really a truly NEW game period) instead of "Rework NFS 2015 Into Something Resembling Playable Attempt #5"

Most wanted/Carbon and Hot Putsuit have some of the best ost in a racing game. Only beaten by Split/Second’s music

This game is not just in my top 5 racing games of all time, but top 5 games of all time. The trailer by itself is probably the best video I have ever seen. This was a game where you could tell the developers LOVED cars, and anything to do with exhilarating driving.

Is the multi-player still alive in late 2023? The game is on sale on steam.

for 2010 the graphics are just breathtaking

This is the only NFS game other than rivals that I don't mind having a car durability meter. It makes the chases more exciting unlike Heat and Unbound, where it feels like you have to run and hide instead of fight.

Is it worth buying it again over original 2010 HP?

This one still remains one of my favorite games in the series. Quite naturally I always play the Cop Mode. Great graphics and beautiful cars. The AI is amazing.❤ I hope they do a new one in the future

I love the game im top rank 21 as a cop & a racer. Back in 2010 i had it for my xbox 360 till my xbox started acting up with that red ring light, i was so upset that my xbox stopped working. When i purchased my PS5 and found out there's a remastered version being released i was so excited that i purchased right away 😂 and since its crossplay for all platforms xbox one s/x Playstation 4 Playstation 5 PC and Nintendo Switch. Online multiplayer is where the fun is at also so competitive players out there.

I think the game is better off being about factory stock cars. I'm in the minority here but games with cars focused on performance index or heavy customization have done irreparable damage to racing games *Forza Horizon*. So people don't make abominations or busted builds, and having no customization lets the cars and their original designers speak for themselves rather than being plastered with *weeabo stickers and furry porn wraps*.

its a terrible fucking game, half the time ur doing time trials, as if those werent boring enough. U cant make custom races, i unlock MClarenF1 but am forced to drive those fucking Porsche Cars for the 200th time instead...... Rubberbanding is moronic, and fighting the police..... they should have limited cars for 1 Race, i wish they had actually defunded the police in this fucking game....

Have very recently bought a PS5. Missed this on PS3 as I dint have one at the time.

I have started my PS5 journey with this NFS and Stellar Blade. I am having a really great time with this game on PS5. Maximum graphics mode on PS5 is a game changer with locked 60 fps and 4k.

Masterpiece? What?

I like Hot Pursuit, but I do have a small complaint. Sometimes, I feel like the handling model doesn't really allow for the intense car combat I want to see. Cause the handling model makes the cars take a few seconds to initiate a drift or a turn, it doesn't allow for those split second reactions such as when some bum drops a spike on me. It's probably a reason why I prefer Rivals over Hot Pursuit (though that game is technically an entry in the HP spinoff) because Rivals' handling model is (imho) more responsive and snappy than that of Hot Pursuit

I love playing this game. I just don't like the cops. Can I get NFS without the police?
