Anticipation of Yom Teruah | What Modern Day Churches DON'T want You Celebrating

What is so unique about Yom Teruah? It occurs on an unpredictable day and hour, as it depends on the sighting of the new moon, which can be obscured by weather conditions like cloud cover or haze. The waning of the moon signals the approach of Yom Teruah, typically one and a half to two and a half days after the last visible crescent disappears. Despite modern mathematical predictions of the new moon’s appearance, actual visibility can vary, leading to either a 29 or 30-day month. Yom Teruah is a High Sabbath that can be observed anywhere, not just in Jerusalem, and was marked by the blowing of trumpets and lighting of signal fires.
