Heres hie to sum this up. Slow to high impact training with minimal rest periods. Hummm. Sounds very similar to circuit training. Anyone that listens to this funny ass beard having fatman is just as silly as him. Dumb!
Around what time during fight camp do you do these workouts you do with JDS, like in beginning of camp? the middle? or when your getting closer to your fight?

ОтветитьLove these videos, valuable information on program design and periodization especially for a sport as dynamic and complex as mixed martial arts. As a young professional in the field aspiring to work with combat athletes in particular, I hope to meet you one day. Best of luck to JDS and Dustin on their upcoming fights, I’m rooting for them. Pressure makes diamonds 💎

Is a long way from Buenos Aires to Miami, but someday i will assist to at least one class with you, such a great inspiration. Changed my whole perspective about the sport. Can't thank you enough, i study every video and every blog you post.
ОтветитьYou are de best
ОтветитьHey Phil if you were training someone for combat sports that hadn't been a serious athlete before, would you recommend starting with baseline aerobic development + muscular endurance training for 2 to 3 similar to a traditional periodization block
ОтветитьWhat’s up coach Phil. Been awhile. I’ve been fasting for Ramadan and plus working on my own craft becoming a better coach, and I’m feeling how your inspiration has taught me so much and put me on the right path. How we separates us from the rest of the coaches.
I’m going to use the GHD hamstring exercise with resistance band,m with a client tomorrow. Hope I do it right, should the band be from the feet’s or from the ground of the ghd?
Much respect and love for everything you’re teaching us and putting out in the world.
Loving the zercher squat from your recommendation, transfers over so well for MMA and IMO hits so many areas of the body, upper, posterior and quads, obviously not a max out lift but fantastic over all so thanks for introducing it to me. But as I can go heavier these days with it how do you keep from hurting your inner arms when wearing a t shirt sorry for being a bitch but it does burn a little bit in the elbow crease, just wondered if you used anything for your athletes I was thinking some knee sleeves as I want and think I can go heavier that’s all. Hopefully one day I can work out with you, big up from the 🇬🇧
