ОтветитьI like that you did the same flower for each example so we can really compare the style of each technique. My favorite is the glazing because it reminds me of stained glass and is the technique that made me fall in love with watercolor in the first place.

A) Watercolour Paper Sheet Cold Pressed 300 gsm / 100% Cotton
B) Winsor & Newton Professional Watercolor Black Box Set
C) 2 glassess of Clean Water
(1 glass to wash brush, 1 glass for rinsing, avoiding muddy)
D) Mop Brush - Large - Large wash
E) Mop Brush - Medium - Primary Painting - Hold much water / Good for large area
F) Synthetic Round Brush - Small - Not hold very much water -- For Fine Detail works
G) Paper Masking Tape
H) Small piece of paper for SAMPLE TEST

5 Techniques
1) Wet-In-Wet- Wet then spread / Wetter the paper the further your paint will spread. The drier paper the less far your paint will spread.
2) Wet-On-Dry
3) Glazing - Adding Lightings / Overlapping & Mixing / Very thin color
4) Charging -- 1. Paint paler colour, 2. Charging with darker colour / richer mixture
5) Dragging --1. Richer Mixture 2. Then, clear water on a certain spot
Practice & Intuitive Skill: Wet-In-Wet / Charging / Dragging
Easy to Control / More Precise: Wet-On-Dry & Glazing

ОтветитьWet on wet always just looks messy to me. Dragging and charging seem to give the best results. Wet on dry looks most done.
