Assistant to the Villain was, for me, a book with an interesting premise that was very poorly executed (no pun intended). I tried the sequel to give it a chance to get better, but I dislike it even more than the first book.

Assistant to the villain is adult. The characters are adult age and there is some language in there that makes it adult. It is an amazing book series!

I am reading in September: The Ballad of Never After and A Curse for True Love by Stephanie Garber, Ruthless Vows by Rebecca Ross, Wistaria by Adalyn Grace, and Apprentice to the Villain by Hannah Nicole Maehrer. It’s a month of sequels and I’m so excited!

I finished Assistant to the Villain and loved it. The second book was able to stay relatively close to the same vibe. There was growth and change, but a lot of the feeling of the characters made it awesome!
