This is the video to my new song 'Talked in Ballyfermot '. I'd like to dedicate it to my friend Shane Macgowan. Today 13 weeks ago I started a St Anthony's Trezena for him. It has been a beautiful and funny 13 weeks with him and we have arrived at a place of great hope and I am full of faith. Thank God. So if you have any messages or memories to Share with Shane, pass them on and I will get them to him. Thole point is to lift his spirits and send our blessings to him. The song came from a talk I had with a lovely man named Christy at Ballyfermot skatepark. I skate with his grandchildren there. I went home and wrote the conversation down because it inspired me , the simple but profound wisdom from our elders. When I wrote it down I realised it rhymed, and it fit perfectly with a guitar melody I was just playing with. The video is in association with the Rock and Roll Museum, The Ballyfermot Youth Service / Ballyfermot BMX club. The song was recorded by Steve, and the video was shot and edited by James Eastlake. Enjoy the skate trick at the end , haven't seen one of them before, and a pint for the first person to spot the disappearing horse. God Bless you Shane MacGowan for blessing us.
