Rare and endangered animal born at Chester Zoo

A rare and critically endangered animal has been born at Chester Zoo. The mountain bongo is Africa's rarest large mammal and up until now only one had been born at the zoo in over a decade.

Zookeepers have called the adorable female calf Navari, she was born to parents Nolliag and Moti after a nine and a half-month-long pregnancy. The mountain bongo is currently listed as critically endangered by the International Union for the Conservation of Nature (IUCN).
