Part 2: New Orleans Jail Escape Fallout

I thank WWLTV for covering this story. 5 Inmates caught and 3-4 people aiding them, including, I'll say potentially, a jail maintenance worker, giving him the benefit of the doubt until proven guilty, if that happens. Some victims NEVER notified of the escapees. Sheriff Hudson Temporarily Suspended. Gov Landy introduces a Bill and signs an EO to make the jail better, safer and more secure. All the best wished for all law enforcement agencies involved in the searches to capture the remaining 5, and all the best wished for investigations into what all happened, how and why to discover all the facts, prosecute those involved and bring the jail to 100% safe and secure operation. I know these things take time and I pray they are done with the utmost honesty and the impetus to do everything required to the highest of standards, and also those these efforts and corrections found needed are properly funded.

When I heard that there was a jail break in New Orleans - I immediately said "Usual Suspects" and when I saw all the news reports - I said yep - "Usual Suspects"!!!

Surprise surprise. Same old story

I have been in Opp and even if I was able to get a job there I wouldnt do it cause the pay ain't enough to deal with babysitting a bunch of adults that act like feral juveniles. As far as im concerned they need to close the jail and move it out of the parish cause the citizens don't care. Everyone's give a damn is broken. They can't even police themselves. As far as im concerned the president needs to declare Marshall law in Orleans Parish.

So we are casually replacing "passively critiqued" with "shade". There is a time and place... but go off 🧐

Whatdafawk. First, it was 11 hoodlooms who escaped and on the loose. Then 10. Then 9. Now they're reporting that five of the SEVEN have been caught.

I CANNOT BELIEVE how many people were helping these DANGEROUS AND VIOLENT criminals instead of doing the right thing (legally and morally) and turning them in for arrest. Has New Orleans become MORALLY (and fiscally) BANKRUPT?
If so, I lost all faith in the city and want out immediately!
