I can understand this dude's frustration! 1 year ago i watched all of this man's livestream of Reading Solo leveling manwha and he got addicted to it! In starting he didn't like Solo leveling manwha but after some chapters he started loving this when jin woo killed C rank tank hawng dude and his party! Then after every chapter he is liking this more and more.
and he said before Anime is announced, I want to Solo leveling manwha to become an Anime! It has to be! But he is now complaining😅

But I myself, I am happy and enjoying this Anime because bro i waited for this Whole 2 years, why shouldn't i be happy! why shouldn't i enjoy it! I am so glad this manwha got Anime! 😊

They cut the best part of the fight. When jinwoo gets the system message Roger got so hype waiting if he is going to get the system to kill Goto. That’s when jinwoo decides to end the fight. If they cut the breif dialogue of goto and beru I am going to rage But I don’t agree with his take. A1 has done so good adapting the manhwa and seeing how TBATE is looking, I am thankful A1 is adapting Solo Leveling.

I have read the manhwa and novel and I love the anime.... Only those people who doesn't appreciate things in life can say these stuffs.... A-1 is killing it.... They did not cut stuffs that are important to the story... This episode is not even a top priority when you have 3 episodes left they need to lock in...

The only story element in this story is korea & japan stuff and anime cut that 😂

I am not a fan of "Solo Leveling" anime since I had different expectations as a manhwa reader. It's clear that excluding the few moments production value is very good, but it's just not for me. They "removed" everything I liked about this series and added useless (for me but people like it) fanservice scenes like the pool one. Some scenes are good but overall it's underwhelming, for example seeing stagnant shadows or them doing only one move in a fight against Kargalgan really ruins the immersion. Another example is fight against Baran (his design was awful to me) especially when it started raining. Camera movement and too much rain effect made it hard to figure out what is happening. I also think that OST should be a bit louder during some parts to enhance the experiance.
Also I guess people can't find a way to call names people who dislike episode 10 - which has more dislikes than episode 9. Since there were only fights you can't blame it for lack of action.

The Manwha was far better but I am ok with that... They just NEED to bring their A game in Jeju's last episodes.

The webtoon really does have great art... but it's a webtoon. It's unfair to compare a single frame of animation to an entire artwork in a webtoon, they're different things and need to be assessed on their own merits.
I'm not going to try and say Solo Leveling is absolutely perfect and has nothing to criticise, but in my opinion season 1 was solid with some weak moments, and so far season 2 has improved on that, at least from an animation standpoint.
Then again, some guy on Twitter not enjoying it as much as I do in no way diminishes my enjoyment of the show, if it's not the show for them I'd encourage them to just watch something else, there's an insane amount of shows out there, surely they can find the anime for them.

I would say ufotable would do the character designs better. I’m not talking about the animation but the cd. I think ufotable would have a better and more accurate jinwoo design to the manhwa and the rest of the characters than A1 can. I also think that because ufotable have better cgi basically cracked computers they could do the aura effect better and the composting better therefore it could be more visually appealing. For the animation, I would think A1 would do better with movement and choreography but because the of the manhwa’s beautiful art style, ufotable would be a better fit for solo leveling because they’re known for strict and detailed drawings

I agree that cuts are expected in adaptations but in something as fast paced as solo leveling?
Then wtf was the anime original scenes in s1?
Why didn't they mention the environmental heat damage in the tower at first even though it would have taken a couple seconds max?

People are confused. The problem isnt the animation thats great. Its the art style thats the problem. They are expecting every scene to be as detailed as in the manwha but it would take way more time to make.

Yes the anime adapation fumbled in some panels but there were more instances of animation elavating the fights to the whole another levels. Like people kept glazing manhwa art but hey they are just still images while we have really crazy animations now. I'm also a manhwa reader but aside from the hype and some iconic panels, solo leveling fights panel didn't leave much of a memorable impression on me. But anime did really well to the point I can still remember Igris 6 piece combo even after a year. I feel people who dislike Solo leveling anime over this are barking the wrong tree like it's entirely different mediums.
People also hold UFOtable in high regard but let's be real, ufotable can produce good stuffs because they take super long times and use high budget. Also they mostly use CG and blend it, composite it with anime to have to smooth feeling which A-1 mostly don't. I think Solo leveling art is perfectly fit with A-1 art direction. While the use of CG and heavy composition might feel like you are eating good animation but to me clean and raw style of A-1 animation looks way more impressive and memorable.
The best example I can give is new anime Lord of mysteries. Yes, animation is crazy asf and smooth asf but it looks really off like it's getting twixtor effect with each frames blending to the next giving that uncanny vibe. I guess that is how new gen animations will look like from now on.

My only complaint is that sometimes the drawing quality is not that great (at least not for me) especially when it comes to Jin Woo which is weird because he’s the most important. Other than that I think A-1 pictures are doing amazing job adapting solo leveling

The problem is not the animation, that is actually really good.
What people are confusing is the drawing/art style and the animation of the anime. The drawings don't have enough details, not the animation. These two things are totally different from one another.
There's a reason if the "chin" thing became a meme and if people are complaining about the design of the "Meruem" of Solo Leveling because it's not detailed enough.
Again, this has nothing to do with the animation.

I agree with Rogers, it's not that SL anime is bad or even mid, it would 100% be better with ufotable doing it though and not having that animation is a huge fumble, Kimetsu no Yaiba manga sold 1-3M before anime and sold 83M the next year just because of the anime, then people realized it was actually kinda bad and those numbers fell hard next years. Kimetsu was carried by ufotable and Imma just say it already: Solo Leveling is carried by the manga artist, no one knew the novel before and most only read it after reading the manga, NOT saying it is or ever was bad, but it had little to no attention before the artist came along.

as a fan since 2018, imma say - they need to change aura effects (like that screenshot of King Ant in next episode having aura is something they need to have in general on every major character, I'm ok for now but in Season 3 and later aura color must be distinct and have some style in it)

As a manga and manhwa reader, the anime is good but sadly not peak as it could and should be. I strongly recommend to read (also) the manhwa, you'll definitively understand why most readers are not quite excited about the anime. And it's not a matter of which studio animated it.

I mean...its objectively the worst 1v1 of the entire seires so far and it was supposed to show a major s-rank flexing aside from Jinwoo- but I thought more readers were upset about what was skipped (like Goto's reaction immediately following).

But like even compared to s1 against the Snake, but lets keep things positive by assuming that if the fight against Baron was THAT good looking then they will not let us down. I think the backlash to his take is actually worse. While I dont think it was bad by modern anime standards, I do think it was a disappointment when compared to itself. Probably will be cleaned up if it gets a Bluray tho

i read the source material and i'd say the problem isn't the animation and tbh the production value is insanely good. tbh for my opinion it feels like the pacing is fast and feels like they skipped much more emotion to jinwoo as character but overall it's still good anime

I have a similar stance as rogersbase where i feel like the anime scratches the solo leveling itch just enough but it feels rushed or slightly lackluster. The anime is still really cracked but aura of the manhwa still overshadows the anime

the problem about ufotable is they cant do every anime out there, they r working on 1-3 animes at most for years meanwhile other studios taking animes per season or multiple shows in the same season. quality diff is inevitable. it would be good to see other studios doing the same so we can watch high quality animes but its all about production issues imo. ufotable pays it themselves so they can work on it for a long time meanwhile others is bound to make fast money for producer companies.

It was honestly pretty wild to see that clip from my video this morning go viral within the SL niche when in the first two minutes of the video I said "To preface everything, I actually think the anime adaptation is pretty good". I never once said the animation was trash, I simply said it didn't look as good as I was expecting it to look as a fan of the webtoon. The ONLY thing I called trash was Tusk's English dub voice which I think even the biggest anime glazer would agree was completely unforgivable, LOL.
