I really like this kitchen island and I wish you had told us in the description the names of the cupboards and the drawers etc. Also some measurements would have been great to know😊
ОтветитьI truly admire people that can do things like this. Very impressive work and I learned much
ОтветитьCost???
ОтветитьIs the counter top a stone? We are on the process of kitchen remodel and I was told that having an islnd on wheels is a hazard, and I really need a moveable island since our kitchen is very tight
ОтветитьReally clean work
ОтветитьDoesn't the base in the middle portion need more support? Asking for me. 😆
ОтветитьLove ur clean n go method 💯
ОтветитьDern. I wanted to see how to put on the counter.b 😆😭😭
ОтветитьPan heads in countersunk holes, heretic!
ОтветитьMAXIMERA IKEA CABINETS! AWESOME VID! THANKS FOR THE INSPIRATION!!!
ОтветитьGreat job!...Just one question. I was wondering why you didn't do the same depth all the way across instead of using the cabinets that weren't the same depth as the ones on the ends...
ОтветитьCool but Ikea MDF or whatever they use for infill is like screwing into sand. It eventually crumbles apart and is only useful for things not meant to hold up to real use.
Ответить👍
ОтветитьThanks for sharing, great work! I'm a bit concerned over hypermobility of the iseland. Once in position you probably want that big piece of furniture fixed so you could lean on it and so that visitor's kid wouldn't run it playing into something or someone. Wheels with breaks will help a bit but I wonder if floor mounted rails are needed to have full control/safety.
ОтветитьThis is perfect. Exactly what I was looking for so I can make an island that is the exact size I need in my kitchen. Thank you!
ОтветитьCan you lock the wheels.
ОтветитьSo that corner rail on the bottom is just to stiffen the plywood between wheels? Is there a minimum distance between wheels less than which you wouldn't need to do that? Does using it mean you don't have to use as many wheels? Thanks.
Ответитьvery nice and great job
Ответитьnice..
ОтветитьCrazy skills!!!
ОтветитьLooks fantastic
Ответить👍👍👍👍👍
ОтветитьGave me some great ideas, thanks for sharing!
ОтветитьWe're looking to do an island in our home soon. Curious how much all the material cost???
ОтветитьI was watching the video hoping to see how you will attach the benchtop but it was skipped :(
ОтветитьNice build. Since you went with metal casters, would you recommend using more than 8 to distribute the weight more? I am worried about scuffing the flooring, whether it be hardwood, laminate, or tile.
ОтветитьWARNING
Please ALWAYS Wear Eye protection while Drilling Metal...
I see you don't have a wedding ring.... How you doing?😂
ОтветитьDid you make your own island top??
Ответитьthis fruit is such a clean freak... good grief.
Ответитьah... once that island has a load on, those nice metal wheel will fuck up your flooring BIGTIME. FAIL
ОтветитьAwesome job. Thank you for taking the extra time to make a video of your work and post it for us.
ОтветитьGreat clean and thought out
Well done
He used a circular saw, clamps, an oscillating tool, a drill or two, and a shop vac for this entire project. This guy is the shit.
ОтветитьWhat was used on top
ОтветитьPretty cool
ОтветитьWhere did you get these wheels from
ОтветитьDon't tell my husband, but I forgot all about this island and fell in love as soon as I saw him clean up after himself. 😄
ОтветитьOmg, that’s beautiful. I wish you could have put a free plan for us
ОтветитьExcellent work, great video. What were the dimensions of this particular movable island?
ОтветитьMain part I was waiting but it was skipped...That marble on the top😢I was wondering how it is kept
ОтветитьHi bought a ikea island for my crafts. Old and stupid old woman. Do you have any idea please how to lock the wheels. Don't want unit to move. There's a grey lever on each wheel. But I can't budge it either up or down to lock wheels. Help would be much appreciated please. Thank you
ОтветитьWow! This is awesome. This is why I attempt DIY projects. Not nearly as talented as you! You make it look like a breeze. Love it! Keep posting! Greattttt ideas!!!
Ответитьlooks nice! can you share countertop, and the oak and beige cabinets?
ОтветитьHi. Does the kallax unit easy hold the weight of the marble top?
ОтветитьI ask out of complete ignorance, don't those metal wheels mark the wooden floor??
ОтветитьPlease be based in Los Angeles. I want to hire you for exactly this kind of rolling island for my closet. Please post contact info?
ОтветитьWhat is the metal tracks for where the wheels are? Is this in place of wood reinforcement?
Ответитьexactly what I was looking for thanks a bunch for showing your process!
