I don't know if you already covered this but there's an Ironhide error in Transformers revenge of the fallen. At the end of the movie when running from the explosions he drops his cannons but later when Optimus is revived and struggling to get up we see Ironhide with his cannons back on his arms.

The picture at the start got me

My opinion:
Optimus did it 1 out of Faith, that they would've survived if they were indeed destined to be the only ones capable of saving the planet.
Or 2 , it was just reasonable for them to survive.
Just adding a 3rd point that applies for both 1 & 2 ……
It's that Optimus Prime would've lifted a vehicle on ANY PLANET, as a way to say; "Look at this Humans, your fragile vehicles cannot even hold their own weight or a slight momentum change in direction without breaking... Are you proud of them? Was there really no option to build more durable ones, is this the best u special Apes got?"

Edit: I'm Christian in my own way, based on what i would put my life onto out of evidence, but spirituality and knowledge doesn't make me stupid. Weird Maybe
