I am so blessed to able to be apart of this BIY family. This is my second year, and i hope to read along with Father Mike next year.

Yes Fr Mike! I’m very excited to read the book of Revelation with you! I’ve been waiting all year to get to this day. I’ve never been able to unravel the symbolism and understand what is really between the lines.
Thankyou to all of you who have worked on this wonderful project - I will be repeating the BIAY in 2024, and adding in the Catechism In A Year also.

Please, do you have just a moment in time to pray for Souls in Purgatory with me?
According to tradition, St. Gertrude the Great, was told by Our Lord that each time she piously recited the following prayer, it would release 1,000 souls (or a vast number) from their suffering in purgatory:

Eternal Father,
I offer You the most precious blood
of thy Divine Son, Jesus,
in union with the Masses said
throughout the world today,
for all the Holy Souls in Purgatory,
for sinners everywhere,
for sinners in the universal Church,
for those in my own home,
and in my family. Amen.

In her account of another vision, St. Faustina describes Purgatory as a "great crowd of suffering souls" undergoing purification. Further, she says that the souls are "praying fervently, but to no avail, for themselves; only we can come to their aid" (Diary, 20)

How do you give your full attention during mass when you have little ones and you are distracted by them? I have struggling with this one.

Great lesson, so insightful. I used to think church was just church, just something to do. That we should just believe in Jesus and try to be good. I am beginning to see how important worship is, and that truly living God and Jesus are the most important aspects of our faith. God Bless you Father Mike and all those listening.
