I am old enough to remember most of the scares over the past five decades - new ice age, world wide famine, acid rain, ozone layer disappearing, ice caps melting, global flooding, rising sea levels, etc. Seems like every decade has a new threat while the last one is quietly forgotten.

We no longer hear much talk about the hole in the ozone or mesospheric ice clouds because the Democrat Communist Collective has determined that CO2 emissions is the clearer path to a power grab.

Beware of "greeny" monsters.

Scientis were shocked that the ozone hole suddenly healed up in the early 2000's it wasnt meant to do this for 100 years. A small very small article appeared in The Australian in the early 2000's. Burried well into the paper as a small filler.
Seeing that it healed suddenly and has varied since it is obvious they either didnt know what was actually happening or we and our governments were conned either by big money or organisations that want to control everything for their own adgenda.
Since then it has been discovvered that the ozone hole fluctuates depending on air at certain altitudes over the tropics moving south. And this last year the U.N. had this big celebratory announcement that everybody's co-operative effort had healed the ozone hole.
What a load of RUBBISH!!!
This is still well short by 60 odd years of the 100 years the so called scientists drummed into us that it would take to heal up and that the U.N. supported for the removal of the most energy efficeint cooling gases we know.
HHMMM is that a fishy smell I detect???

This story started at the beginning of the 70s, but you are not old enough to remember that.

Just before the "Ozone" nonsense they told us that we were going to get "too cold" causing another Ice Age and we were all going to die. But now they tell us that we are going to get "too hot" and we are all going to die. I wonder what is going to kill us all next?

The ozone hole crisis was always a lie. Ozone is created in the upper atmosphere when UV radiation hits oxygen. In winter, no ozone is made over the poles and only comes from air circulation from lower latitudes. Ozone is destroyed when particulate radiation from the solar wind -- the same stuff that causes auroras at high latitudes -- hits ozone and breaks it down. Particulate radiation is directed to the poles by the earth's magnetic sphere. The reason the southern ozone hole was always larger is that the southern magnetic pole is not as focused as the north pole; hence, a wider area of ozone destruction.

The Ozone hole is the opposite effect to the Northern lights. And, I imagine that the SPF manufacturers made a mint and are now retired.

Fictional global warming has taken the grant monies from the ozone hole.

Ozone also forms at ground level naturally. I smell it all the time running through the forest trails on my property.

I learned about ozone & CFC,s at school. I left in '74.

The Ozone hole still exists, it varies year on year. We have stopped producing CFC gases, which were adding to the problem. However, CFC gases are still being produced and the cause is the strato-volcano Mount Erebus.

What has yet to be explained: how do heavy gasses, CO2 & CFC get to the upper atmosphere intact without changing form.

1st we're told the Ozone hole is a major problem that is causing climate change. Now the hole is closing we're in more trouble. I given up on listening to what these researchers and scientists have to say. They make up rubbish and the force it upon us.

I knew this was going to happen so I had a lot of FREON 12 left over and I drove around releasing it into the atmosphere therefore fixing the ozone hole.
