Always enjoyed Jimmie's playing. Sure was some fast fret pressing going on the factory..wow!
ОтветитьMexico Fenders are every bit as good as the American ones. I don’t understand why players act like they are cheap? Most of the original guitars made at Fullerton in the 50’s were made by Mexican Americans?
ОтветитьNile Rodgers says Jimmy turned him on to MIM strats. One's been apart of his arsenal for 30+ years.
ОтветитьMexican Fenders are great! I have a couple of nice American Fenders, and my Mexican Tele is every bit as good. The neck is actually better.
ОтветитьThe Mexican Made Jimmy Vaughan strats really messed up on the wiring because on Jimmy Vaughan strat the middle tone control is ONLY wired to the Middle pickup which they they didn't do correctly. If fender is going to make an artist series Jimmy Vaughan Strat do it correctly and don't ship the product out wrong and incorrect.
ОтветитьI got my 92 MexiStrat brand new when I was 15 and it's been with me through thick and thin, love that guitar.
ОтветитьLove my Jimmie Vaughn MIM signature Strat!
ОтветитьTwo '99 MIM standards here (Strat and a Tele). Both were purchased new in 2000. The Strat is currently out of service from years of beating but the Tele remains a seasoned & customized main player to this day. Mexican made Fenders are great instruments and I plan on bringing that Strat back to life at some point...
ОтветитьI have five Stratocaster « classic séries », from 99 To 2005.
They are not perfect, but, after à pickups upgrade, they sound great with plenty of mojo.
I learnt To play on these MIM Fender and Still appreciate it even if i play on CS now.
I Wouldn"t Trade or Ever get rid of my M.i.M STRAT or TELI, I totally luv them!!!...Thank You Mexico !!!!!....
ОтветитьTo be honest, they are being made using the original concept...mass production. The only difference is the modern machinery. Leo's idea was to make a quality instrument that could be turned over fast - interchangeable parts - at an affordable price. The quality may have dipped over the years, but they seem to be back on track. I've owned Mexican Fenders, they're very good instruments. A lot of snobbery around it from people who probably don't play for a living.
