Darrell’s surmounting of his difficult childhood alone is a testament to grittiness. His adult accomplishments stand as witness to character and courage. I just preordered the book. So many of your guests, Ryan reflect such admirable fortitude arising from circumstances like Darrell’s homelife that others use as excuses. You’re really working in a rarified atmosphere here. These men and women are legends. Too, Ryan I’ve gotta say that Georgetown-sharpened wit in “Your mom knows me” was solid gold!

There is also an obvious and painful question in a high school grad from Huntington so quickly and correctly reading the political landscape of an invaded and subjugated population while Chalabi led the U.S. in a monstrously conceived lie with the full support of our Ivy League civilian leadership.

The situation with the Kurd soldiers having sex with each other isn’t a new thing from what I’ve read from a few different historical articles. They say that even back in ancient times with the Romans, Spartans, Vikings, etc, that the men would sometimes go years without seeing or being around women & would just end up having relationships with fellow soldiers lol…
