Road noise can likely be militated by getting shot of the run-flat tyres. I did this when I got our diesel F48 X1 after experience with my Dad's petrol version. My X1 has a spare in the boot, so am covered.

Previous BMW X3 model engines have defective design that leads to permanent engine failure.I would not rely even on newer BMWs past the warranty period. In the past customers have faced engine issues ranging from timing belt to fuel pump low pressure resulting to engine blow outs. BMW dealers are quoting anything in the range of 15k to 20 k for engine replacement with no major recalls on this issue. There is also a class action suite for these defective engines for which BMW was ruled by the courts to compensate the affected customers. Absolutely a lemon of a brand !

I really don’t get why manufacturers are getting rid of Diesel, it’s the only fuel that can be man made and there has been clean exhaust systems in operation for more than 8 years now.
Manufacturers should do a phev diesel, that uses the batteries in the city and diesel for highway driving. That technology has existed in submarines for the last 120 years

Styling is over-cooked and busy. I even hate blank fog light holes - now it's all fake exhaust and vents. Makes them look unserious, like toys. But it has to be said. Even if the vents do actually pass through the body, most of them are still unnecessary, and probably always were.

Guys, they have launched the new x3. I think it’s the ugliest bmw that they have ever put on sale

Renault austral is better

I had an iX3 for 10 days, and have to say by the end of it i loved it. The range wasn't mindblowing, but if you could charge it at home it'd be fine.

I'm happy to see they haven't ditched the buttons for those idiotic curved screens, actually. It's also highly ironic to be ticketed for using a phone but a literal curved gaming monitor with no buttons in the car is fine because lobbying? What a racket. I hope they never remove the buttons. It's why I'll be going for the 2023 X5 instead of the 2024, even though they made several good changes and additions to the 2024 model.
