I completely forgot.. but sagas are really good for this kind of deck with just a specific creature in it.
Overall, Kamigawan Sagas have been really decent

My main deck on historic comes with a "If I can't win, then we draw" combo for times when cards that won't let me win appears.
(Luminous broodmoth+stone coil serpent+solemnity, it runs massacre and remember for the paid off but can save you from lose when infinite)

can somebody explain to me why Lvd and his creatures took damage from the mono red playres creatures even though he had protection from creatures?

Why not run Koma as the wincon instead? It can't be countered and can give itself indestructible. Add in Tamiyo's Safekeeping to keep the opponent off spot removal, and this deck would be night unbeatable if you can get the combo off.

May I ask why you opt out of applying card styles?

The bonecrusher giant targeting the casting player was a pretty sweet play.

I love the idea of sagas. I hope they continue to be supported so I can make a good saga Edh deck.

Ugh. Blue White Teferi decks. I hate them on principle.

I'm wondering if a singleton copy of Chandra, Awakened Inferno would be useful in this deck. If for no other reason than to counter the mirror match. Chandra puts an emblem on "each opponent" (dodging protection), with damage that cannot be prevented. Plus, the deck is already ramping up, so it works within the larger gameplan anyway.

You neglected to mention the lifegain deck’s most dangerous weapon: that you will die from boredom!

How did you lose match 2? Am I crazy in thinking protection from creatures means sources of damage from creatures? Or is it protection from targeting?

gave this deck a spin, faced 4 non blue decks in a row and crushed them, ranked up, then faced 5 blue decks in a row and went 1-4. feelsbadman

Funny, I recently went back to boros lukka transmogrify ulamog in historic. Only creatures: 1 zetalpa, 2 ulamog, 1 artifact angel you can't lose game with.

Really cool change of pace with historic, yet still ranked play. Very cool
