This is the best approach: native professionals and engineers invent and produce for their own people and markets. They know the demand and produce on a level that can be immediately used by the Burkinabe people. At the same time, innovation and competition starts, seeing the products of the competitors and learn from each other. Everybody's going to Ouagadougou! There's a lot of good news coming from there, but as a retired engineer and shop teacher, this is my favorite so far! Anything related to infrastructure and production is good (from the Engineer point of view). Giant Cement factory? I think in their position they can't have ENOUGH cement! I know that doesn't sound very exciting. I think we used to go for years without hearing a word about Burkina Faso, and now it's something big every day or two.
