Rajat Gupta is not a wall street trader. Justice dept. has to instigate wall street greed due to public pressure after meltdown. Justice dept. and Goldman sacks top colluded to corner Rajat and found a very thin case, found a honest guy with very high reputation. Rajat net worth is less than 300M. The real wall street guys are billionaires Steven Coven S.A.C capital, ray dailo, griffin ....etc. they play the dirty tricks and real greed.

Hypocrite. I heard his speeches to the Indian School of Business. Quotes eloquently from the Bhagvad Geeta about Truth, honesty, etc., Guilty of insider trading and greed. Listen to the 18 minutes phone call to Rajratnam that was played during the trial. Clearly he was condoning bribes to Anil Kumar. Coward at heart. He refused to take the stand in his own defence. Complains about scapegoating and immigrant bashing with no merit.

Rajat Gupta, a hero to many, a villain to many others.. But more than anything else, it actually showed what kind of a place McKinsey is, for work.. After decades of service that this man rendered, if this is how they treat him, im really doubting the adaptibility and work culture for anyone in the lower hierarchy

It's strange how people get divided in adversity and fall into the trap of hoodlums trying to make you a scapegoat to get publicity. All organizations in the world are flawed and it is up to us to stand up against nonsense. The so called lawyers just played one against the other and all of them fell down like nine pins. Well the others just managed to flee out of the country.....

There is an old saying " if you have a pistol in your hand and if you bumped into an Indian and a cobra, which one you should shoot first?".

He invested $10 mill + $40 Mil from Raj and $250 Mill (or so) from Leeman Bros to start Voyager Capita. Leeman collapsed during the 2008 financial crisis taking Voyager Captial along with it. So, how did Raj sell his equity stake? It makes no sense.
