4. Fabricate drama in the workshop
5. Wrap it up with a nice happy ending

Hottrodders always seem suprised when a restoration costed more than u expect.... bro every car ever gone thru my shop costs more. I always overshoot the shit out of my estimates that way either customer gets an accurate price... or a great suprise when its cheaper.

I always wonder why they wait until the last minute to build a car. I personally think a lot of these automotive shows are just fake.

Worries about an overheated navigation light lens, keeps the prop running when out of the water so the gearbox disintegrates

I saw one of these in action when I was about 7 years old in 1972. I am now age 55. I never forgot watching it “swim” in the water and drive out. They look so funny looking. I actually forgot about them.

My parents had amphicar, it was a blast driving on the water.

For 85k? Its gonna be a hard sell.

I can remember seeing the Amphicar when throwing the Paper, it was really hard to believe a Car could float, it was the same color and everything, just weird bringing the memory back, that feeling is still the same, just weird i say!
The memory alone is worth every Penny, the memory and the feeling is priceless.

Why have car shows decided imaginary b.s, deadlines are more important to us than the build?

If the cars not finished take it to the next auction there's millions of them ! All high stress on workers not needed thats how job burn out happens !

Was a farmer and rebuilt tractors and trucks. I always rebuilt water pump and generator or alternator .

Must there be so much angst? We watch these videos to see the work and techniques....not the angst and pressure. Yeah, leaks are a problem. Yes, we gotta get the car running. Just fix the friggin leak and show us how you troubleshot, then fixed it. Geez. Once you change the flawed narrative, I'll subscribe. Same reason I stopped watching OCC and Coddington on the Discovery Channel.
