Keeping it simple with some Sunset Photography

Morning.. it's a great location to shoot - I was there a little while ago on the spurr of the moment and shot some video and images but didn't do any talking heads stuff... footage is on my channel. You got some great images and I make the mistake sometimes of alwasy trying to shoot towards the light rather than side on as you have done here... mind having seen that footage I would have been running back up the other side to try and shoot it !! Lovely video with some good thoughts. atb Al

Good to watch it. Korea is too crowdy for these kind of stuff. I think you took a good descisiin going back to your motherland. Big country, big landscapes. It's so peaceful too.

Nice set of images I prefer the blue hour photos these days. Interestingly in The Night Landscape category of The Landscape Photographer of The Year 2021 a photo of the bridge with the moon rising between the towers was awarded runner up. You can see it on their website. I have stopped there once but weather was poor and didn't take any photos. Must try again.

Great video and pics Courtney. Yes a simple shoot does wonders to get the ball rolling again. Bridge looked interesting as the light changed. Thanks for sharing the trip out 👍🙏

Courtney the images in this video just kept getting better and better. I know the feeling of having bad photo days, just had 3 video disasters that combined with the covid restrictions here has thrown me off my game, I need a good shoot like this. Thanks for sharing.

How strong was the ND filter? seemed like you could do some great long exposure, I've recently got a set of filters system sort of, still learning how and which to use when, but I do like it.
There will always be days that things just don't work... but hopefully it passes quickly and new amazing opportunities come! your photos from this video inspired me to find a similar place though can't think of something in the area yet...

I really enjoyed the shape and form of the bridge, Courtney. The cables are quite striking as a pattern in your images, even your test shots. I think we can all agree with bad days but that’s all part of the journey. Loved your image “Pastel” 😍

Another wonderful video and fantastic photos Courtney! I know the struggles of those "bad days" where you just feel uninspired when you're on location. Sometimes I am able to push through and get something, but sometimes I can't. I am so glad you reset with the bridge! The colors were pretty spectacular and I am sure this outing rejuvenated your motivation/inspiration. Great advice on moving to an "uncomplicated" scene/composition. I really like the photos: Pastel and Blue Hour. 🙂

Really loved the blue toned vertical composition.

There's never really a bad day of photography, unless you have equipment failure or something stuff up badly. They're just days where you didn't pick things right on the day. On another day, who knows😊 I like all of your pics. It's a great time of day to be shooting at and if you have a good subject, you can't go too wrong!!

have you done a long exposure shot on the bridge at night i think that would look really nice
