Durant isn’t on a super max making $10mm less than JB on his last year of his contract. JB isn’t worth $63mm a year and has limitations. While he has value, Celtics might as well get value back perhaps draft picks.

you CAN aggregate as a 2nd apron team. its more nuanced than that:

1. you can aggregate salaries as long as at the end of the move you are below the 2nd apron. it also hard caps you under the 2nd apron.

2. you can aggregate players, not salaries. this means you can combine players into a deal as long as it can be broken down to individual trades that work. these extra players are most likely absorbed into cap space or tpes.
