Check Out The OWC Express Enclosure: What Happened After One Week?

The OWC Express enclosure is supposed to get warm because the entire enclosure is one big heat sink. The fact that it’s warm to the touch lets you know it’s working and doing its job. The extra large body design is its main feature and what sets the OWC apart from the rest of the competition. I just got mine today along with a separately purchased 2TB Crucial T500 Pro NVMe M.2 SSD. I made sure to reformat it to APFS in Disk Utility before using it. I then copied the home folder into it and made it my main hard drive. I created a second account for the M4 Mac mini’s internal drive and gave it admin rights so I can still access it if I need to.
