🤯🥃💣🤯
ОтветитьIt's done by Bushmills ... perhaps the bottle design is a hat-tip to the Giant's Causeway columns? :)
ОтветитьThe bottle is reminiscent of Roku gin. 🤔
ОтветитьI would probably take the review more seriously if you two weren't half drunk. Sorry didn't get what I wanted out of this.
ОтветитьYou are looking at no more than a sweet cocktail dram in a cool looking bottle. Your score is spot on. Very drinkable. But no big deal.
ОтветитьIt's basically made by Bushmills
ОтветитьCould this be less humorous or professional?
ОтветитьBeluga gold line vodka
ОтветитьI'm drinking a dram of Sexton and comparing notes. The bottle dribbles every time I pour from it and spills. It looks cool but functionally the bottle is a poor design. I find the whisky a wee bit weird, very youthful and the finish is somewhat short and granular. I haven't come to any final conclusion about it yet but right now it is just structurally awkward. Probably needs more time in the cask.

ОтветитьOctober 24, 2020 - Comparing notes.... a lot of flavor but it seems kinda thin to me.
ОтветитьAlex Thomas worked at Bushmills for 13 years and she went off on her own to make this creation. Bushmills basically freaked out at her striking out on her own and made their own competing product, Black Bush. Except she does it better, being one of their more experienced employees and blenders.
It needs a drop of water. Then it tastes like a smoother, better Black Bush and the alcohol comes forward. For $10 less. For the price, amazing.
The bottle? Eh... It's a dribbler.
I’ve always been a single malt scotch man myself. Recently when in Temple Bar the young blokes behind the bar got me to try Sexton as an alternative. It’s the one that really stays with me from that night.
I really like the shorter finish on the palate. I know that is not a normal thing to like in whiskey, but for me at the price I can get a bottle in Australia versus every Scottish single malt, it’s still the cheapest. The only thing that comes close in terms of that is Bushmills Black Bush.I think it’s because Alex worked at Bushmills before heading out on her own to create Sexton.
Thanks for the review lads.
I love this whisky, but it's a bitch to pour lmao
ОтветитьThe bottle sucks because it makes it VERY HARD to pour a glass without dribbling and wasting whiskey down the side of the bottle... just like you did in the video. Very poorly thought out design. Laughable.
Ответитьhi guys. im thinking of offering this whiskey as a christmas gift for a friend he really loves jack daniels nº7 do you think he would like this one or do you recommend another one. i want to offer something different. sorry im new to this world.
ОтветитьMy son bought me a bottle of Sextons and now I’m a bit anxious to give it a go... thanks for the review hopefully it lives up it at the least
Ответить100,000 for a bottle that is hard to pour.
ОтветитьThe Sexton was one of my first Whiskey I ventured into and I really enjoyed it as a noob... My palate have now matured however I still go back to The Sexton; it’s an 8/10 for me.
ОтветитьMcDowells No.1 ( World most selling whisky )
ОтветитьDrinking it right now,,,bout to fight two of my cousins so it gets a 10.
ОтветитьThe bottle is meant to be inspired by the Giant's Causeway. I like the look of it! Cool review.
ОтветитьI bought a bottle of the sexton from my local ABC store...1) i dont like the first few oz gets everywhere...everything else is spot on great body, great evolution on pallet...and the finish kinda lingers after the last sip....keep it guys i love your vids

ОтветитьI'd like a little higher proof, but I like it. Very drinkable.
ОтветитьSexton a person who looks after a church and churchyard, sometimes acting as bell-ringer and formerly as a gravedigger.
ОтветитьI am from the states and i like this because it is diffrenr from the standard irish whiskeys sold here there are really only two jameson and bushmills. Gives a glimpse of diversity and diffrent style not seen in the former
ОтветитьThe design of the bottle is the reason I purchased this. Awesome design. Now to try the whiskey.
ОтветитьThank you for your thoughts, I bought a bottle of this tonight and will be enjoying it sometime in the next few days.
Ответитьits easy drinking i found it to be nice and easy to drink
ОтветитьSexton is crap!!! Bottle is nice
But u ca pour without spill!!!!
Just picked up some today, I must say not bad i like it as much as my gentlemens cut
ОтветитьI just bought a bottle of this for my friend for xmas :D, it completely stood out of the crowd of bottles but I was worried about the quality cuz it was cheaper! Still glad I went with my gut on this one. Can't wait to try it next week! Thank you for the review.
ОтветитьA nice drop will buy again
ОтветитьI need some of this.
ОтветитьNot good review because they are not serious and talking all kinds of bulll…..s..t
ОтветитьIve been a long time whiskey drinker. Personally I think sexton is an amazing drink for like a daily whiskey. Its affordable but a wonderful taste for the money about like they said. It is definitely one of my favorite go toos for a daily drink
ОтветитьNot related to the review itself, but the phrase "This Corona Virus is gonna be bloody nightmare, I think..." has aged perfectly. Great review, and it gave me some more things to look for in my own bottle of Sexton. Thanks for the information and opinion!
ОтветитьYeah, Sexton's a lovely Irish whiskey. Nice and rich tasting.
Any chance you could review Great Oaks? I picked up a bottle and was wondering what others think.
A well made solid whiskey, but quite simple. Bold malt, but not many levels of flavor. Chocolate, coffee, sweet brown sugar.
ОтветитьRuns about $28 at Total Wine & More here in Arizona
ОтветитьVery smooth whiskey I like
ОтветитьMy first Irish Whisky was Jameson, which i hated, this is the complete opposite.
Ответить2 Minute Whisky Review, 5 Minutes of 2 Twats Talkin Ballocks.
Ответитьfor someone with adhd and a lot of people have it. i would love if you got to the taste of it a lil quicker. sorry if i’m being a pos rn 😂
Ответитьlove the bottle
ОтветитьThe bottle is eye catching, but results in a sloppy pour over the rim, with dribbles down the side and onto the counter top. Decant the elixir, and put the bottle on display above your cupboard.
ОтветитьI have enjoyed Sexton for a few years now. It has a nice fruity nose, is easy on the finish, and at 80 proof, isn't hot on the throat when sipped neat. I prefer it on the rocks. I would love to try a high proof cask strength, aged in Sherry barrels from Sexton!
ОтветитьI passed on the Sexton for the Powers this time, I think the last time I had powers ,it seemed a little bit harsh but thats ok it's more fore guests , I save the Green Spot, Bowmore 12 and my Glenfiddich 12 for me and special guests. Slange Var
ОтветитьIt's a very good Irish single malt whiskey. At it's price-point, it does deliver. However, it's a little low on the ABV, so I'd like to see a 46% ABV version come to market with an age statement. I'll grab another bottle when it's on sale.
Great information @Craft Whiskey Boys.
FYI: Sexton is owned by Proximo, the same company that owns Bushmills. Master Blender Alex Thomas of Bushmills perfected a shorter aging process of four years. The whiskey is aged in European oak and former sherry casks.
