Hey so on the Kill switch+battery trim -bird 3, when you were adding the kill switch you didn’t show where you connected to and where did you find that 5/32 flat head? Can you link?
ОтветитьI'm sitting here with a 1000watt 36/48 for 1 that's takin me forever to get installed... but then I got a VESC 4.12 sittin here Goin into another one once you decide to upgrade and I have somebody else out here to look at a video for reference and just general ideas 💡 cuz thats how I work when it comes to anything electrical & new lol. it's graduation day bro. throw that 82watt controller out the window and see what you can make happen with a vesc 4.12 for $89 + the stock battery @36v without any mods whatsoever besides the bms bypass that will let the 50v/120a max vesc straight BREATHE if it's setup the right way... lowley only reason I'm waiting is because I know the amperage and torque is all there with that combo, but I wanna see what the top speed looks like with just the standard 36v 10p config, or if I need to rebuild the battery for 13s and install one of my 100a BMS units straight out the gate 😑 dont matter what it is. I'm a perfectionist like a mfkr so just switching that battery pack from 36v to 444 or 48v alone will take me a whole ass day just to plan out on paper first beforei even take the first screw apart that holds the cells together 🥱 lmao from tho. ITS TIME TO GRADUATE TO THE BIG BOY VESC MY MANS.
(btw the correct vesc for these things is the vesc 75100 that goes up to 20s, the vesc 4.12 only handle 12s reliably but is rated for 13 max. I only grabbed it because it was a flash steal gor 79 bucks... same exact concept and software, wiring, ect. tho.... my only real question is the stock throttle working or not at this point. everything else is beyond simple compared to these 1000watt monster sized old-school controllers that are straight up inefficient afffff especially when you're feeding those types of old school circuits big power like that.. but I'm js bro) lmao grab one and forgetting about a 72v monster azz 'controller'.. literally 99 bucks right now and you can't get any better performance from any controller out here anywhere than the vesc 75100. only thing I would suggest is chopping off 1 string of batteries and running it at 19s instead of the max for that controller. it does anything from 8-18s reliably af, or up to 75v max... but it does 120amps... which is just the continuous rating... max amperage is over 300a for up to 10 second bursts, so even at 36v you'll won't even notice a 30% incline hill as long as you have the bms bypassed and have the vesc max Amp setting set for 80ish amps max i would say...
dont use wire pinch them together and drop solder on the center the wire changes the resistance too much. you will end up burning up your mosfets..
Ответитьand btw is this 72v one you built your daily driver or what? I'm trying to figure out how much power these hubs can handle.. I see you on the forums with everybody else bro lol talking about there isn't a controller out her even capable of killing that overbuilt monster hub motor, but my thing is. if there was one - the vesc (because of there being no bms to limit anything) being able to hit it with even just the standard 36v... but push 100-300 amps through it with the flick of the wrist if you set your settings that high? lol even 100 amps - 36v x 100amps?... that 3600 watts straight to that little bro... lol if there was ever a controller made out here that was capable pf melting down these tank-hubs on these things the vesc units would be the one to do turn the hub into a straight up smelting pot of liquid molten copper REAL eeeeasy if you're dumb enough to set you max average that high without any bms to limit the actual power being drawn or do it in a safe way without any type of cell balancing at all lmao... I'm putting my 100 Amp bms's on both my packs for that reason, but like I said while I'm in there i still haven't figured out if re-welding the entire battery pack to give me 12 or 13s instead of 10s is at all necessary since I can make up for keeping the stock voltage with those 100 amps on tap whenever you need it, and I would think that being able to cruise at 30-35mph with 100 REAL time amps (not just based off whatever the sticker says like the old school controllers) so, 3600 watts on demand? I just can't see 30-35mph being an issue nomatter what the voltage is at when you have that much total power ya know??... does any of this bs even make sense to u bro? 🧐 honestly tho lmao I NEED SOMEBODY WITH REAL LIFE ANSWERS ABOUT THESE HUBS BEFORE I MISS THE WHOLE SUMMER "planning" around not burning out the only 2 hubs ive got....also another idea I had was to just take both jobs and buy a dual vesc unit for 3 bills and then I know forsure it could do 30+ all day long... is there anything stopping the rear hub from going onto the front forks?...like would I need to do a bunch of custom bs or no, just bolt it on and wire it n go? thanks in advance for ur replies brobro, I've seen you on here for a minute now and I got half my ideas from watching ur vids... lol thats prolly not the best thing but its still a mfkn compliment 😆🤐👌
ОтветитьHey are you running two 36 volt batteries in series to get 72 volts,??? And I ripped apart both of my bird 3's and what's up with all the pinched wires you were right you got to watch out for that I noticed that a bunch of wires are pinched and need to be replaced,...but going smoothly so far keep these videos coming in I'm always watching them,...

ОтветитьI run those same controllers and have probably ordered 12 of them. It’s capable of big power and I run mine at around 55-60 amps with burst of over 100 for a few seconds. Running them on 16” 9c hub motors on a seated scooter I built. 0-40 mph in about 6-7 seconds. Dual motor, dual controller and separate batteries running each controller. Each battery is a 20s6p capable of 60 amps continuous and 100 or so peak.
Ответитьthat thing is a beast I want to make one too so bad
ОтветитьHey pj it's Josh I text u a few weeks ago asking about a scooter I got I want to make it personal it's the new Spin scooter can they be converted can u tell how to do it and tell me what I need to buy to make it personal
